Is Dak officially the best QB in the NFC?

Quantify best. I know this, he has over 30 tds and just 8 ints, fits what MM wants perfectly scheme-wise. Dunno if he is the best in the NFC, Purdy might be, but you know what, make no mistake, hes been elite and plenty good to win a chip. Thats all I see. Now its a matter of seeding and winning.

He has not really turned the corner on knowing when to junk the called play and audible enough; and as regards forcing passes all QBs do that.
Really he has taken a big step this year; the only real problem I have with him is consistency but even there you can certainly say his highs are higher and even his lows are higher
Not true. Dak’s pre-snap reads are near the top in the NFL. It isn’t his job to call plays the entire game and, in fact, he couldn’t do it efficiently.

We know the AFC..... Burrow, Allen, Jackson, Mahomes

But before the year started we heard..... "besides Jalen Hurts, Dak should run this conference." With one more game left to play, it seems that's exactly how it played out. He ran the entire NFC top teams besides the Niners.

I get the argument for Purdy, but the Ravens game really shined some light on things. I don't think he's as good against good teams as 49ers fans like to say. He struggled against the Browns too. Plus, I put Dak over Purdy because his arm is stronger, and he's more built to last long. Purdy is kinda soft, and I don't think he's gonna last long. One more injury and he's probably done. Plus that 92 yard TD pass to Lamb.
I think it is silly to name one qb the best. You dont always have to have a #1 or best in everything.
They all have strengths and weak areas, play on different teams have different coaches and offenses, team mates.
you can rank them as the top qb's mid level and not too good.

Dak , Purdy and Hurts all would go in the top category.
It goes by year too, and they all have bad games.

I would have picked the other 2 over dak at start of year, but dak has played better overall, so I put him with the other 2 now.
have to wait and see how they do in playoffs to judge which one is the best for this season.

Spot on. Who cares about ranking them, when what they do for the team matters.
The Mahomes situation shows how inane any ranking argument is.
1. San Francisco 49ers Brock Purdy | QBR: 72.7

2. Dallas Cowboys Dak Prescott | QBR: 70.5

I suppose QBR, can be overcome with Dak overcoming those late game performances .....let's hope he gets (AND OVERCOMES) that blindspot vrs SF this year.

Officially? Who certifies these things?

Dak has an argument. So does Purdy. Neither is official.

I think Purdy will come away with the ratings crown this year.. however I am more than happy if Dak comes away #1 in TDs and #2 in the other categories. But overall Dak has been the best QB in the league over the last 10 weeks and I don't think it's even been close. Since the 49ers and Cowboys faced off in week 5 Dak has 8 games of passer rating over 100 and one game at 99.4. In that same span Purdy has had 6 games with passer rating over 100. Dak has 27 TDs and 4 INTs in that span. Purdy has 23 TD to 11 INTs. Dak has 5 300 yard games since week 5. Purdy has 3. The Cowboys have gone 8-3 in that span. The Niners have gone 7-4. So more wins: check. More TDs: check. Fewer INTs: check. More yards: check. I know you cannot discard the first 5 weeks when the Cowboys were playing almost a completely different offense than they are now.. but there is not much of an argument to made that any QB has played better than Dak Prescott in these last 11 weeks.

He’s driven the offense to game winning drives just the last 2 games.

Dak is 0-3 against Purdy the last 3 times the teams have played, and played really bad in each game. And you think Dak is better?

Guess we'll see how things turn out in a few weeks.
against Purdy? Purdy started last playoff and this year. not in 2021. so Dak is 0-2 against the niners in the past two years. he is 0-2 against #1 and #2 defense in the league.

but I get you hoping Dallas loses again so you can have all off season to bash bash bash, otherwise where is the fun in it for you?

Probably. It's laughable how terrible the NFC QBs are compared to the AFC QBs.

AFC top 8:

1. Mahomes
2. Burrow
3. Allen
4. Herbert
5. Lamar
6. Stroud
7. Tua
8. Lawrence

NFC top 8:

1. Dak
2. Purdy
3. Hurts
4. Goff
5. Stafford
6. Murray
7. Cousins
8. Mayfield

Anyone would take the top 8 from the AFC over anyone from the NFC.
Lamar is about to win his 2nd MVP and you have Herbert who literally has achieved nothing ranked over him?

He just had 2 comeback drives to take the lead LATE in just the last 2 games. Have you been watching?
That's not late....I'm talking late 4th Q . Ala SF play-offs and Eagles defeat. Dak's OK with minutes on the clock..especially when it's not critical and there's the chance for another drive.

They were both late in the 4th quarter against 2 playoff teams. You must’ve not watched the games.

How a player is evaluated goes beyond stats; anyone just going by them is a fool
Mahoones does not have the greatest stats but who ELSE do you choose in the whole NFL to play for you?
No honest football fan who actually keeps up with games would choose anyone else at this time.

For this year only so far I'd prolly go Stafford, Purdy, Dak, Hurts and Love.

I'm just saying people say Purdy plays well against great teams, while Dak doesn't play well against great teams. Both guys have had 2 stinkers against elite teams.
It's almost like it's a stupid argument, because every QB struggles against those teams. It's what makes them good teams lol

Those are Las Vegas odds...means nothing unless you are a betting man. I would rather see the odds from an NFL Official site.
Las Vegas is not in the business of losing money, they know things the average fan doesn't obviously.
