Is DeMarcus Lawrence done?

What's inaccurate? It sounds like it is you that can't handle disappointment.

"Fat & getting fatter".

Unless the person making the post has insight into what the scales read at Lawrence's house, that is certainly conjecture.

Taco/Tank/Tapper/Irving/Gregory/Collins

We have a lot of promising, young defensive linemen. (Gregory: I know, I know).
We definitely have a lot of young defensive linemen. Dunno about that other part.

He will probably try and go play where Hardy eventually ends up if he can get back in the league, so he can pad his stats more and look like he's good..

The only time DeMarcus Lawrence has shown anything was when Greg Hardy was on the other side commanding the primary attention of the offense. He wasn't that good to begin with and now has a history of back problems. At this point, he's just another guy.

I was trying to figure if we were losing all three in Crawford,Irving and Lawrence, then it becomes clear why we took Charlton. Then again sounds a little far fetched.

How about everything else? What about all of those other "inconvenient truths" mentioned. Unfortunate facts that apparently some fans can't handle?

He sure didn't look fit in that picture, did he?

You guys and that picture... Geez Louise.

I'm willing to waiting until training camp before I make any prognosis about his weight... And then I'll wait several games into the season before I state my belief on his likelihood of getting another contract from the Cowboys.

I would be willing to wait and see what happens with him this season before throwing him completely under the bus. Nothing is lost by doing that.

This season obviously needs to be a good one for him.

TBH, they kept Sean Lee around a lot longer than I would have. And they finally found a way to make it work.

So we'll see.

I'd say we're finally at a point where we have a solid DL rotation. What I like is that (assuming Tapper and Taco can play) we have numbers and probably don't have much drop off between 1-8. What I don't like is that we lack real play makers other than *maybe* Collins or Irving. I'd love an edge playmaker, but they're so hard to find and expensive to get. Obligatory hat-tip to Crawford for getting pressures consistently when nobody else can.

We do have a shot to have some playmakers among the LBs, though.

It would have been nice to have added one in the secondary yesterday, honestly. But the Titans took our guy there.
We've got great depth. Real solid depth, too. If we had that one guy teams had to scheme for, the trickle down would be noticeable. I think we're closer than some of the more vocal people around here. Especially since Taco should be an immediate upgrade. Insert Taco, exit Jack Crawford. That's a big jump in talent. If Collins and Irving can just give us the December 2016 version of themselves on a consistent basis, we could be pretty decent.

Lawrence isn't even a lock to be a starter this year. I pretty much have given up on him and don't expect much, if anything from him. I don't think it would be too much of a surprise if Lawrence doesn't even make the 53 man roster. Often injured, bad back, drug suspensions, disappearing in games, often can't even practice, and looking fat in the latest off-season picture. Right now, his 2nd round draft pedigree and glimpses of potential are about the only thing keeping him on the roster.

Feel free. Just spare the condescending talk for those who are comfortable talking about the facts of Lawrence's situation.

If you want to reserve judgment. Go do that. But spare us the never-ending cycle of grief to those that can deal with talking about the situation or do have an opinion ahead of your timeframe.

This place has a constant pattern. Any conjecture that might be negative is premature. Anything that might benefit the Cowboys? Let the good times roll! It's a clear double-standard.

People will lurk and take potshots at the position of others, while never actually having one of their own.
