Is Dorial Green Beckham worth the headache?

In the third round you almost have to. He's that great of a talent. Top 15 draft pick talent. I live very close to DGB's hometown and have had some experiences with people around him. One thing I know, he's dumb, like dumb and dumberer 2 stupid. The other, which is obvious, hangs out with thugs. Which is why he will fail the interview process and fall to 3rd round.

Don't need glue eaters lol

I love DGB's game but I think Dallas can focus on other areas when it comes to drafting a WR early this year. Going into this year, Dallas was deep at the WR position and have a couple of guys on the PS that I would like to see develop on this roster.

I think we need a upgrade here .. If Dez goes down we looking at Williams, Bease, Harris and Street..

He's going to be a 1st round pick. Just watch. 6'6 225 lbs with elite athleticism and runs a 4.4 40. He'll go first round, there are plenty of teams who don't care about off field issues (Rams, Jets, Falcons just to name a few) and there are quite a few teams who need a WR.

I'm thinking the opposite. He's going to Burfict his way down the board and people will be shocked that it could happen to such a physical specimen.

Didn't he get fat and then run really poorly at the combine? If GDB tears up combine, runs a 4.4 or what have you, it will be a lot easier to swallow his past. Now, If he runs a 4.7...

— Former Missouri wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham comes with big off-field issues. I asked around this week and one very experienced general manager told me they view him as "undraftable" based on the legwork already done on his background.

The possible pushing of a young woman down the stairs is awful, but we really don't know what happened as the woman did not cooperate.

As far as the two pot charges go, who the hell cares about pot? What an absolute joke.

1st round talent however with the off the field issues I wouldn't draft him.

We can handle this guy just like we handled Dez. I hope we draft him on day 2 if he is there. But I am curious to see how he does at the combine.

I think despite his character issues Burfict would have been mid round pick if he didn't run a 5.0 forty.

As physically gifted as Green-Beckham is, his production at Missouri was not off the charts. Combine that with his off the field issues, and I don't think he goes that high. For me, he would be in the box. The drug issues could potentially be worked with, but domestic violence for me is an absolute no go.

When I see a talented player dismissed from the football program I always think there is more to the story. I can't believe he would be kicked off the team for just the pot. Gary Pinkel probably had more information than the general public has.

It sounds similar to the Da'Rick Rogers story.

Dez never did drugs. That's harder to help than maturation.

They have to do their due diligence to make an educated guess on whether he is really a bad guy or just young and stupid. If he falls to a certain point in the draft it would be interesting; however, if he falls too far it probably means teams didn't get good news when they investigated him.

Jerry made a statement in the past the drug issues are the biggest red flag for the Cowboys in terms of draft prospects.

Bet that quote was some time after Irvin/Quincy/Hurd...

The people who have to pay a guy to sit on the sidelines suspended because he fails drug tests cause of that pot.

That's who.

They don't get paid when suspended, but your point is valid that any chance of a drug test is a big concern.

Ahhh yes my mistake on the pay while they're suspended thing.

That's my bad there.

But yeah if he's got a pot habit, or any other kind of drug problem, then whatever team drafts him is risking having an extremely talented player who can never be on the field for them.

I think the Browns would like to have a lot more plays out of Gordon than they get but he's too stupid to avoid issues.
