Over the last couple of games it seems that Drew has been off the mark on several throws. Is it possible that Drew's arm is starting to wear down as the season progresses ala VT last year? Drew is no spring chicken his accuracy does not seem to be the same as it was in the first half of the season. Since I haven't been able to watch the last few games I can only go by what I read/hear. Your thoughts?

I don't think so, Drew is not throwing the picks we saw from Vinny. I also think his production has gone down since Flo Adams went down, Dallas is trying to help out both tackles and in doing so are leaving other soft areas of the line exposed.

I really think it is time to put Bledsoe in the shotgun he is much better in a hurry up shotgun formation.

I agree. As someone else mentioned he does seem to be slow at getting the ball from center and getting back. The rest of the line is damn near getting into pass protection faster than he can get back.

As far as arm strength. No. He threw an out to Glenn yesterday that he hummed...had Farve like velocity on it.

One poster says he gets ansy when the pressure starts, and the next says he holds the ball too long.

I think Parcellswaterboy said it best... this is a chess match. It's eerily similar to what happened to Drew in 2002. The Bills and Drew took a couple seasons to get it corrected. I'm hoping our period of correction lasts much longer.

It is very possible to do both and indeed has always been something of a problem for Bledsoe.

When pressure starts, an "antsy" qb starts to worry about the rush instead of progressing quickly through his reads. If the rush takes even half a second off his progression, receivers may no longer be open, the 3rd or 4th read may never be seen.

I guess so, but it seems like no matter what the guys does, someone is finding fault.

He is having a pretty good year, and let's face it, we had no better options.

I wasn't really questioning how Drew was playing, as much as I was questioning whether it appears that hisarm is starting to get tired and he isn't able to get the same velocity and accuracy that he had at the beginning of the year. It was evident with VT last year when towards the end of the season he was unable to make certain passes.

Sorry but.....no. Bledsoe's drop off in performance is directly due to a fall off in OL performance. Our OL is scaring no one right now and the Detroit game was a continuation of that problem. Can anyone say....Torrin Tucker?

I think people who are now comparing Bledsoe to Vinny are hilarious. Did anyone see Vinny "perform" after being inserted into the game yesterday vs the Broncos? Oh boy!! There is no comparison!!

VT hurt the team badly - throwing more ints than TD's - many at critical junctures.

Bledsoe's issue last 2 games is not his arm. He was beat up pretty good yesterday physically. More antsy and rushing throws. Go rewatch that 4th quarter drive at Philly and watch the out he threw....There is NOTHING wrong with his arm strength.

We ran the ball, controlled the clock and Drew made no critical mistakes. We won 20-7.

7-3 record, 16-6 record running....

I haven't noticed any issue with arm strength, just the added pressure since Flozell went out. The Lions were jumping all over the place yesterday, sometimes effectively other times offsides. Drew hasn't been able to step into a lot of throws lately which has caused him to kind of flick the ball out to the receivers inaccurately at times.

If you are going to see an arm issue, it will be in this game with only a few days rest, however I'm more inclined to think you will see a mobility issue from being banged up and knocked down so much lately and still being sore on Thursday.

You should drop that 16-6 remark as it has nothing whatsoever to do with the Dallas Cowboys. 7-3 is pertinent. The 9-3 you use (while ignoring 4 games) was a different team in another city. Therefore irrelevant.

No its not - he's 16-6 starting past 2 seasons. Yes that 9-3 finish was clearly not the collapse some envisioned and told on in offseason.

Drew and the Cowboys are already 2-0 2nd half of this year.....

Back to topic - VT lost us games where Drew is winning games. Yesterday is a perfect example of a QB playing within the system, controlling clock and not making critical mistakes.

VT - I saw about enough yesterday to make me ill on comparisons.

No one will care about how he played with the Bills.

7-3 is relevant and enough to create a picture.

We are not the Bills and it is less than honest to use them and especially to exclude 4 games that counted in the standings.

7-3 looks better than 16-10 any day.

The Cowboys need to be able to run the ball...this will cure Bledsoe's "problems". I don't care who's standing back in the pocket, if there's no threat to run, you will get demolished, it's that simple.

It's all on the offensive line. We can't expect our team's QB, who's play has been spectacular this season, to not have a couple bad games.

You say that no one cares about how he played with the Bills.

I think that the people that don't like him, don't like him because of how they thought he played with the Bills.

I think they would be hard-pressed to not like him based on how he has played for the Cowboys.

So evidently some care how he played with the Bills.

I personally have always respected him as a QB and was hoping we would get him when the talk of him coming here started, and thrilled when we announced his signing.

Fair enough, but then use the whole season. Not the last 12 games.

Use none of the Bills or all of it.

I am not one of those who thinks what he did with the Bills matters. 7-3 is impressive enough for me even though I think he's tailed off a bit and I want better.

Bledsoe took a hard shot in the first half, and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said the quarterback was a little bit off when he went into the locker room for halftime...

"I think first of all he got hit real hard in the head," Jones said. "At half time he was a little foggy. He got dinged real good." But Jones said he didn't believe Bledsoe had a concussion, and it wasn't a concern for the team. Bledsoe would not comment on the hit after the game.

His play dropped a little when we lost our starting, probowl left TACKLE.... hmmm....

Give the Bledsoe bashing a rest already.
