The arguments keep getting weaker and weaker.

Pat Williams - 9 years, 14.5 sacks, 285 tackles.

Jason Ferguson - 9 years, 20.5 sacks, 264 tackles.

Pat has played 6 more games by the way.
why don't you start by checking this years stats.

Last time I checked Fergie and Glover are rotating at NT genius.

We're number 7 overall scoring D. Minny is #25.

We're number 10 vs run. Minny is #26.

What exactly are you whining about.

How is Fergie playing compared to Jamal Williams or Wilfork?

I'm all for Burnett starting over Fujita who missed a routine tackle on Kevin Jones for the Detroit lone TD in todays game.

That was Bradie James. Well, he was the last person who coulda made the tackle.

I think Fujita is very solid. Sure he gave up a play or 2 but he has done a decent job here. I think he is a keeper for depth, but I would like to see us get a nice playmaker there like Bobby Carpenter.

Go route for the Vikings if you like Pat Williams or the Vikings so much.
if i point out that shaun alexander is having a better season than julius jones - does it make me any less a Cowboys fan?

don't be in such a Rush to judge me.

I think just the opposite. Being that he normally lines up on Coleman's side, I choose to say its Colemans fault. Coleman serves no purpose on this team.

You started running your mouth about Ferguson as if some other NT out there would blow him off the field.

Pat or Jamal Williams, Wilfork, Hampton.......no one else is.

Have a clue what you are talking about before you open your mouth.

dear dimbulb,

as you've decided to make this personal - let's get down to it.

i maintain ferguson is a weak link on the defense. i have stats to back up my argument. i invite you to prove me wrong. rather than blithering like a fool and fronting your unsubstantiated opinion - why don't you provide me with some evidence to the contrary. otherwise, shut yer yap.

try reading the thread from the TOP fool. and save my keyboard some needless wear and tear.

the internet seems to be full of "tough guys" willing to talk about one's mom, wife, and sister (though i don't have a sister). i guess it's pretty easy when your out of harms way.

Noted......he's putting up numbers the same or comparable to Jamal Williams, Casey Hampton and Vince Wilfork in a 50% role.

last season ferguson tallied 58 tackles. this season to date - 15.

and splitting time with glover (and ferg still gets the lions share) accounts for that amount of dropoff?

uh... right.

Oh yeah, that's right........

He was 3-4 NT last year playing next to Ellis, Abraham and Robertson.

His scheme and responsibilities were exactly the same as this year.

You're the one who wrote this year's stats in bold.

Please compare what he's doing this year vs other 3-4 NT's such as the one most consider the best in the game (Jamal Williams).

Or, do you just not want to go there for fear of looking stupid.........er?

Fujita could maybe be a depth guy but I think we probably need to upgrade this position - expect a high draft pick or FA to come in. My guess is that Burnett ends up inside next to James next year.

Yep. He had him squared up and just wiffed.

i think it was fuita that wiffed on the big gain by Jones, everytime i hear his name it's usually not good, we really miss Al, now that he's gone

He got steamed rolled by the pulling guard, that was James that had the last chance to stop Jones. I admit he needs to get better, but it seems he is getting the blame for plays that are not entirely on him.

Fujita the weak link? No. Close. Free safety is still the weak link. Fujita is still learning the position. I don't think he will learn all the nuances until the start of next season once he goes through mini-camps and training camp. I only want him to do one thing for the rest of this season. Keep outside containment. That gets annoying and is a pretty simple duty. Ware has to focus on it, too.

Hey, Nors. Just because someone is critical of Fujita's play, that doesn't mean they are critical of the 3-4. Learn to separate your agenda from the topic at hand. :D

The best measure of a NT is team running defense. NT is not a position that can effectively by analysed by looking a stats like say a QB or WR.

Fujita can be counted on mainly as a backup, IMO. He's stunk it up so far while subbing for "The Milkman". We need Burnett to take this spot full time.

Glover and Fergy split time so both stay fresh. It's a team sport and both are helping make the defense the start of something special.
