just wondering I believe he should have been up on the money list. IMO he needs his and he is worth it:D

He's got 4.3 million waiting for him when he decides to show up.

I will be surprised if he does. I just think at some point you have to hope your draft choices work out (Watkins) or you see how Henry would do at FS before you make a long term committment to Hamlin.

Don't get me wrong, I like Hamlin but you can only pay your secondary so much!

My prediction : Henry, Hamlin or Roy - one will not be on the Boys roster next year.

How much is he really worth. I saw him give up a lot of TD and out of position a lot.

He's got one and IMO, it's more than fair.

good riddance don't let the door hit you where the lord split you.

his average play is easily replaced.

Hopefully, but not near as much as he is wanting. He's not worth top 10 money when it comes to safeties.

if Henry moving to FS becomes a reality then we've got some options. I'd like to see a situation where both Roy and Hamlin are playing for their jobs -- if either under performs they go bye bye

You have to be kidding. Do you not remember how we have struggled at FS before Hamlin? That is a bizarre statement coming from a Cowboys fan.

Hamlin should have signed that 1 yr deal last year with a clause that he could not be franchised. That was a big mistake on his part.

Believe last comment by Stephen Jones re Hamlin's contract was that we still talking to his agent but nothing happening.

Pete Hunter time Baby! Bet he'll make that switch to Safety now!;)

While his play was far from spectacular, he was far above average.

That being said, I think he is asking for too much now that he's a "Pro Bowler" and I am really hoping we dont overpay for him.

I really think with a couple of the ridiculous contracts signed this offseason by very very average players, that we should prepare ourselves for potentially not having Hamlin...he was ok last yr, but he was not special (in spite of what some think)

I really dont think giving Hamling 35-40 mils over 5 or 6 yrs is a smart decision...he simply isnt worth it and will never make enough plays to make the investment worthwhile

ultimately, wouldnt surprise me if a decision were made at some point during TC to either keep Hamlin or Roy Williams, with Henry or Watkins moving into the starting FS spot

I'll guarantee you Wade wants him back.
He isn't alone. I like his leadership and he played great last year.

I want him back too, but I don't think he was "great". His value was increased because he was able to make calls and get the rest of the D lined up properly.

If we hadn't tagged Hamlin, the Birds would have given him an offer he couldn't have refused.

Anyone who says Hamlin "isn't all that great" is a blind homer. Sure-we had some secondary issues last year, but his presence was nonetheless a HUGE upgrade.

With that being said-I think eventually, a deal will be reached.

without getting into a whole "Roy" debate, I think he ruined it for any other safety hoping to get a big payday around here for awhile. Jerry paid him to be the playmaker he was during his first 2 years and then the big plays stopped happening...I know....I know.. but we all agree his big hits have diminished dramatically. That'll leave a sour taste for a long time to not sign big money to a safety, whether they deserve it or not.

Once again I think that because of the poor play that we had at FS since Woodson retired you guys are overrating this guy. Personally I'd rather see what Watkins and Brown could do.
