Is it just me or do you not agree that deflategate is nonsense

This deflate gate nonsense is blown way out of proportion? I could honestly care less if Brady had the ball slightly deflated because that is the way he preferred it. Now I certainly understand it was against the rules so they should get fined if its proven he did it...............but all this nonsense about suspending him for a year or whatever just seems ridiculous to me.

Thoughts?

I think if there was no rules pertaining to how much a ball can be inflated then this would be no issue at all. Fact is there are rules and when any team or player circumvents these rules they need to be held accountable. Players and teams do not get to choose what rules they will abide and which ones they will ignore. The rules need to be honored by all, no exceptions

It's just you buddy
When you have a pattern of cheating you're a cheater
Every single qb that I have heard so far has said this is VERY significant
It does not matter how many points they beat the colts by
There is no way these guys would deflate the footballs if they did not think it would give them an unfair advantage
If they believed it gave them an advantage and was against the rules then that is all that matters
No amount of distraction will take away from that

No you're not, deflategate is a joke. Punish Brady for lying about it but in reality it's not a big deal at all. I mean really? It's the dumbest investigation I've seen in years. Next they'll tell Murray he can't drink that much water before a game because he'll have a hydration advantage.

Wrong forum, but yeah. They beat Indy by 5 TDs, I don't think that had much to do with the PSI in the balls.

I'm thinking this has gone on for years, not just one game. Throw the book at them.

yes. way overblown.

the bigger issue will be that Tom Brady didn't cooperate. If the league is truly blind in their justice, Brady will face sanctions for it.

It is a rule, really does not matter if you think a rule is important or not. If completion committee wants to change that rule great they should do it but any time you knowingly break the rule to gain an advantage that is cheating. Brady does not get to determine what rules he likes and which ones he doesn't

In a free market the rest of the NFL is not on the same field as the Cowboys. Everyone wants to wear the Star

It's not just that game though. What about the Ravens game before that which was so close. Were balls deflated then as well? How about all the games they might have done it in the past which provided them enough of an edge to win a game they would have lost otherwise?

The one game vs Indy, sure, it did not matter. Doesn't mean it NEVER mattered though.

Cheating diminishes the integrity of the game. It should not be tolerated. How much it actually effected the outcome of the game is irrelevant.

You might have missed it, but there were stats where the Patriots fumbles decreased by a huge margin after teams were allowed to bring their own balls for games.
