It is possible seattle did it back on the romo snap fg fumble, it was new slick ball and over inflated ???
Home teams used to have control over the balls, after that play there was a rule change with the balls.

I'm too lazy to look it up but I think Troy was very adamant that he didn't do this and he came down hard on Brady when the story broke.

What it looks like is NE deflated the balls to the bottom of the range , which should be ok. I am against players being suspended for games in most situations, they should be fined large amounts of $ instead, and the money go to charitys.
Fine brady 4 mil and it is as good as having him not play.
Same thing for hardy, just lay a big fine on him of 5 mil and let him play all games.
Base the fines on how much a player makes.
Then when NE plays Dallas both are on the field. less money in the bank but on the field.

Well I doubt troy ever thought about it back then.
But it is likely that others have done it.

They might have suspected that the balls would be check if they complained but I don't see how they would know that for sure. It's hard to believe that the Colts knew the balls would be checked since some of their own balls were found underinflated.

Well I cant say for sure , i am just speculating lol
I know if I turned in the team I was about to play, I would not in that game deflate my balls.
You know some balls could leak , and being kicked , 300 lb guys fall on them, tossed around , cold weather, hot dressing rooms, all those things
could affect the pressure in a ball.
Then there is also the gauges used to test the pressure, how consistent and accurate are they??
your dealing with a small amount of pressure in a football, and then a very small range, so I question just how accurate are the gauges they used?

probably one of those tire pop out gauges lol.

Also NE got harsher penalty's than NO did for bounty gate , which was much worse than deflating balls.
They were fined 500,000, one 2nd round pick, several coaches suspended, and player suspensions were lifted.

I agree but NE has a history of cheating and getting caught cheating therefore deserved and got a harsher penality.

Well then why did you specifically bring up Troy in your earlier post? Seems strange you'd bring up his name and then I respond and you go oh well Troy probably never thought of that.
