Is it just me or do you not agree that deflategate is nonsense

No, why would he? He admitted Thursday night he only skimmed over it. I was surprised he admitted that much.

I would say he's lying. I'm sure he knows exactly what it says regarding him...he's probably had dozens of calls...texts...

I don't believe that.

I'm down with a fine, maybe a couple games off..
It's freaken psi............

This deflate gate nonsense is blown way out of proportion? I could honestly care less if Brady had the ball slightly deflated because that is the way he preferred it. Now I certainly understand it was against the rules so they should get fined if its proven he did it...............but all this nonsense about suspending him for a year or whatever just seems ridiculous to me.

Thoughts?

No big deal?
It's obviously a big enough deal for YOU to START a thread stating ITS NO BIG DEAL.

Absolutely it was blown way out of proportion. Any other team and no one cares.

If any other team had a history of cheating and drafting serial killers, and cheated like this, everybody would care.

He could have gotten the answer to his question by looking through the other 9000 posts on the topic in various other threads rather than starting another thread to ask the question. Reader's Digest answer: There's about a handful of people (mostly Pats fans/apologists) that say it's no big deal. To the rest, it's a significant issue.

They don't suspend players the stature of Tom Brady without good cause.

If all that suspension talk is true that is..

I think that the fumble retention advantage has been hugely significant for the Pats over the last five or six seasons. Add to that how completely embarrassing it is for the league to have the face of the franchise caught lying about his role in the cheating en route to a Superbowl victory, and it just looks horrible. No matter how small the issue of psi may seem on the surface.
The fact that the Colts were a weak playoff team in the first place doesn't really enter into it all that much. The more important fact is that the Patriots were caught cheating. Again.

Crime vs Punishment
Who got hurt?
Was it an unfair advantage?
psssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

Completely agree. Its freaking PSI. How dumb can this all be. Fine them, suspend him a few games, but what they doled out was ridiculous.

Again it's not about the psi it's about breaking the rules (again!), lying about it, and not cooperating with the investigation.

As repeat offenders (and there are numerous times they haven't been caught) going from $500k fine.... Now I give you $1 million reasons why it's not nonsense... Not blown out of proportion.
