Is it just me or do you not agree that deflategate is nonsense

My question wuld be if this is important why were the balls not being randomly checked by refs??
Because the NFL didn't think any team would be stupid enough to tinker with them during the game. Clearly the NFL underestimated how low the Patiots or their players would stoop in an attempt to gain an advantage and win games.

Haven't read anything in this thread. Not worth it really.

But it's a real deal, it's a legit cheat.

Even Fran Tarkenton was amazed at the simple cheat, saying what with his small hands he had wished HE had thought of the cheat when he was playing!

Even so, Fran retired as the all time leader in passing, 47,007 yards, and the all-time leader in TDs.

how did they cheat the first 3?

what was the gift?

It's there if you want to see it.

Each of the first three Super Bowl wins were by 3 points. Unfair competitive advantage is a very real possibility as to why they won. SPYGATE.

The last one was a gift. Belicheck dropped head set and was ready for the dagger. Except Carroll and Wilson turned dagger on themselves.

You obviously disagree to you would not ask how. It's as clear as day.... Again.....if you WANT to see it.

Thought the video taping rule was put in after the 3 Super Bowl wins.

As far as a gift Super Bowl, do you really want to go there? I mean seriously

Essentially yes it was a gift, and wrapped by Petey and Russell.

At least Larry Brown had to be in position to accept those Neil O'Donnell gifts.

NY Times has an Op-Ed on Deflategate.
It's an interesting piece written by members of the American Enterprise Institute. The conclusion is the Wells Report is chock full of errors and sloppiness (as if we didn't already know that) and that the Patriots balls were within range of where the Ideal Gas Law predicts they should have been given the weather conditions in place that night.

What did you tell me a day or two ago?

Seriously. Let it go.

Wasn't that it?

You might try taking your own advice or do you just like being rude to others and that doesn't apply to you?

The NFL obviously doesn't think so.

They cheated. They got nabbed.

I know that pisses off a select few on here but they've been guided to the Pats website to discuss their protests.

As a Dallas fan I'm glad they got smacked. They deserved it.

I am not pissed off, just think it was not fair that only 1 team was checked out on doing this.
They didnt check out any other teams to see if others were doing this too.
but it is a done deal so nothing fans can do about it.
I also think since each team has their own set of balls they should be able to adjust pressure to whatever they want.
And if the league wants a certain pressure random check during games would take care of any changes made.
if they had policed it better NE would not have been able to deflate and get away with it.

I'm no Pats fan but I actually think they were better than both those Giants teams that beat them in Super Bowls.
A Welker drop and a fluke helmet catch is almost all that stands between them in having two more titles.
yikes

But that's beside the point of this thread, so I'll go now.

Here is the info-graphic they are basing their conclusions on. Like I said, very interesting stuff purely from a scientific point of view.
Yes not considering the temp of the balls tested and when is just silly.
Also the colts wanting the patriots to look bad could have over inflated their balls .

how do we know that aikman did not have his balls deflated too??
Do you really think only NE ever thought of doing this?
It is possible seattle did it back on the romo snap fg fumble, it was new slick ball and over inflated ???
Home teams used to have control over the balls, after that play there was a rule change with the balls.

To the best of my knowledge, Indy is the only team who has complained to the league officials about this. That is why NE is the only team who was checked out.
