Is it just me or is Chris Collinsworth a better announcer than before?

In previous years, Collinsworth annoyed me so much any game he announced was met with multiple profanity-laced retorts from me at my TV set. Has he improved his announcing to be more capable and filled with less stupid remarks or have I just grown used to him?

He is much better, but can still have his moments. I used to not be able to stand him, but now I don't mind him at all.
But last night he went along with Al Michaels to show their love affair with the Giants , and Michaels hatred for the Cowboys.

Time for Al to go, but keep Chris.

No. I cursed the TV multiple times at his expense. I wish he'd just be quiet. I'd rather hear unicorn farts.

I've never had a problem with him, and the only people who do are the one's who get upset with anyone who doesn't pump sunshine for their team.

I've never had a problem with him.

I mean, other than him being another obsessed Cowboys hating media member refusing to recognize how great we are.

He was at one time, but he has been quick to give praise.
During Dez's 1st few years, when all the media was down on Dez, saying he was a wasted pick, because of the overblown off the field issues.
Collinsworth actually stood up for Dez. Saying once he gets his issues behind him, watch out, as he could end up being one of the best.

I remember him in the early days with Inside the NFL and he never really bothered me... relatively speaking, I'd say he's one of the better ones out there.

i was really annoyed by his comments on Tony's health during the Jags game. About how you could tell Romo was really hurting out there and just wasn't healthy and blah blah blah.. I mean really? did you even pay attention Chris? Romo looked pretty damn good to me

In 2006, Collinsworth was the only member of the media that I know of who was actually calling for Romo when Bledsoe was still the starter.

Collinsworth always has some really good insight. I usually learn something new from him when he does our games.

Last night for instance, he talked about how the Giants coaching staff said JJ Wilcox looked like a completely different player on film as opposed to last year.

Also brought up what we all suspected re: Romo. He probably wasn't ready to play in the Jaguars game, but after losing a couple in a row he felt he had to get back in there and not let this season slip away.
