Is it the coaching or the roster?

LOL... Man, this hilarious... So Garrett is developing non-talented layers that Jerry picked or Garrett is picking the talented guys? Man, looks like to me your just trying to give JG credit for all that is good Cowboys and everything bad on somebody else...

Tell me, why was Garrett demoted as play-caller when he clearly wanted to still call plays?

1st - its clearly conjecture that he wanted to call plays, as he said at the press conference where he announced the Calahan hiring that he would give up play calling.
2nd - How can I communicate this better regarding Jerry and his coaches? There is an extremely clear line in Cowboys history under Jones:

Coaches he respects and will lean on to guide the franchise: Garrett, Jimmy, Parcells (<== note, he pulled shenanigans with all of them. He just did it less often.)
Coaches that were puppets: Phillips, Switzer, Campo, Gailey - During the run of these coaches, Jerry pulled Jerrys non-stop and really damaged our franchise.

Garrett is developing talented players because unlike Phillips, he isnt a puppet. He is part of the drafting/scouting process. Heck, a guy on my street is a scout for the Cowboys and even he has mentioned that the Cowboys act with much more checks and balances under Garrett.

Garrett not wanting to call plays is less conjecture than your claim that Garrett had no responsbility in the drafting for this offense since he's been here... In fact, all your doing is conjecturing...

Wait, I thought this was still Garrett's offense, but Callahan was just running it?

Or is it Garrett's offense until it doesn't work then it is Callahan's?

All our routes are short to intermediate and we are running a WCO? Man, let the jokes keep flowing...

Please inform me where you got such absurd stats, besides the deep ball has no bearing on whether something is West Coast or not. The WC employs a lot of short, quick passes, motion and slants. Callahan is a WC guy running Garrett's playbook. We aren't running a WCO.. And the Air Coryell offense is known for deep vertical passing..

Jokes on you - We are 9 games in and Romo has thrown the least amount of deep passes in his career. I wonder if you are man enough to step up and admit when you were wrong - especially since you did it mockingly. Newest data is on page 3, with a link to the article:

I never said he didnt. In fact, that is the second or third time you have falsely claimed that I said something I didnt. If you want to have an honest conversation, Id suggest speaking with honesty.

There really is joke, because your logic is simply flawed that less deep passes correlate to WCO. We can point to quite a few reasons that Dallas is throwing less deep, among them, Romo hdd injured ribs, whih he sustained against the Giants, until the Denver game. The second, Romo isn't taking as mank risks and the approach is actually more conservativein the passing game. Both these are well-acknowledged.

How does that equate to a WCO as opposed to an Air Coryell? Oh yeah, it doesn't...

You keep modifying your opinion and your talking about honest.. First you said it was Wade responsible for the talent, then Jerry.. Now your saying Wade is at fault for not developing talentless players and Garrett has... Your just looking for whatever reason you can to defend Garrett, even claimin Sean Lee was developed by him not Wade, as well as Dez Bryant.... All good essentially is JG, all bad is everybody else... It'sa big joke..

I want to know. I've heard repeatedly on this board that this is Garrett's offense, but Callahan is just calling the plays.

Callahan says it is a collective effort (which everything in Dallas seems to be)

Either way, the results aren't (and haven't) been good enough.
