Did you go to school in Hagerstown, silverbear?

I went to Smithsburg, grade school through high.

Hooray for the Leopards.

Well, I went to a bunch of different schools, my Dad being an Army man... but I went to North Hagerstown, aka North High, my freshman year before we moved to Germany, then went back there my senior year to graduate after we came back home from Heidelberg...

I believe my nephew/roommate went to Smithsburg for a while, about 15 years ago... I'm not sure I've got the school right, but I think that's where he said he went... it's a real small school, right??

Yeah, it's small, relatively speaking.probably not much more than 1300-1500 students now, even though Hagerstown has exploded. We would have been a team North high played against - and at least when I played there, we got killed every year but one, lol.

I'm glad to hear you weren't a Keydet... they're like the Aggies of Virginia... :D

What other college is in Lexington?? I'm not familiar with that area, never make it much south of Staunton...
Washington & Lee University.

I'd rather draft Kevin Kolb
I am on board with Kolb also. I think either he or Troy Smith may be available in the 3rd if Dallas is willing to spend that high of a pick on a QB. If not, I wouldn't mind taking a flyer on Jordan Palmer late in the 6th or early 7th round.

Ahhh, that's right... clean forgot they were down that way... but like I said, I rarely venture that far south on I-81...

North didn't play Smithsburg back in 1970, at least I don't recall them playing Smithsburg... we went west as far as Cumberland and Alleghany, wandered over to Frederick to play Frederick and Thomas Johnson, of course we had our annual game against South... and in basketball, there was two games against St. Maria Goretti, also there in Hagerstown...

1970?

I'm not even sure Smithsburg existed as a school yet. ;) In any case, it's north of North high/Hagerstown. Right below PA.

Did they have indoor plumbing in Washington County at that point?:)

C'mon, they were semi-civilized... they wore shoes, and everything...

Well, MOST of them did... and by that time, they had pretty much put a stop to the tradition of marrying family members...

It's a beautiful town, you ought to make a trip down that way, you'll love it. Take Route 10, you can avoid the trucks on I-81, plus it's very scenic.

Vice is nice, but incest is best. LOL

That is when I would like to get him too. I don't want to spend a day 1 pick on a (for now) 3rd string QB, but it is a value pick and you don't want to wait too long.

I hope that we focus on 1 QB every off season for at least the Practice Squad. I like having 3 good QBs, not just 1 and 2 warm bodies.

I'm ok with that strategy as long as you'll occasionally look at an undrafted guy at that third spot. I think it's pretty proven by now that even though it's a longshot, undrafted guys could potentially play QB.

W&L is an excellent school brother. They don't just let any Tom, Dick, or Harry into that fine institution that is for sure. A sheepskin from W&L is all one needs to see to know that you have recieved a top notch education from a premier college. Congrats for just getting into that place my friend.

Thanks, brother. I hang my diploma (made of real sheep skin) proudly. Frank Kush spent some time there, as well as Roger Mudd, John Warner, Pat Robertson & Tom Wolfe, among others.

Wow! A "Who's who" of great Americans attended your great school. Robert E. Lee was the President of once was called Washington University. Correct? He went there after the Civil War if I recall correctly. As you can tell, I know my stuff. LOL.
