Is Lawrence still a leader of this Defense?

Rosters have multiple leaders. Demarcus is a leader, most likely the leader of the defensive line. However, the overall defensive leader is Micah Parsons.
Exactly
And the media doesn’t determine leaders, the players do. It’s not always about being a star player either. Crawford was a captain because his team mates respected him

I don't think it is anyone player, or needs to be. But several stand out more than others as vocal leaders.
DLaw at times, Micah, but he now just seems vocal about anything. that is ok, just don't be too outrageous.

On game day, just be a leader on the field. Do something that gets the team pumped up. Don't need to be over boisterous and talkative.
Don't need the Ray Lewis antics.

In practice, TC, off season, be a leader on how to prepare leading up to the season. Practice, film room, meetings. Set a good example for the new players.

And this can and should come from several players, not just one player.

Ok there's nothing that needs to be said!!!!! Perfectly said, just DO YOUR JOB!!!!!

redo his deal
Redo his deal just pushes more money out after he’s gone. The guaranteed money is already guaranteed to he’s getting that money and he already has a voidable year built in so you’ve already pushed money out likely after he’s gone

DLAW has made his money and now he's pacing himself. He hasn't come close to his contract year numbers when he held the organization hostage over his offseason shoulder surgery. Does anyone remember this? He refused surgery until the cowboys gave him the contract he wanted. He's been an average DE since he signed that contract. The team just re-upped him sticking us with him for 3 more years in a stupid move that only a family run team operating in an echo chamber would make.

Good points, Micah has come in here and quickly became our defensive leader a spot Lawrence had for a few years.
Parsons clearly sets the tone for the entire defense by physical presence and play alone, as he is no question the " War Daddy " (as the Jones define the term) that opposing teams absolutely
have to account for every time they break the huddle.

He is clearly a leader by example on the playing field and the impact player to be measured by. He's clearly our very best defensive player
and one of the very five best sheer defensive player in the entire NFL.

D law and Kearse are the leaders.
Maybe vocally, ..

Maybe they are the ones who team turns to when it needs a rev up in pre game rah-rah huddles or on the sideline,....
But when it comes to the player that sets the tone and is the true War Daddy that offenses have to account for - That player is clearly Micah Parsons.

No, he just talked a lot. I can only remeber 1 memorable play by him, it was against the lions in the play offs.

No. That would be #11.

Oh Micah is their best player no doubt. But who leads the defense? When the defense is struggling who's calling them out? Its Kearse and Lawrence from what I've seen.
