Is Lawrence still a leader of this Defense?

YOu ever hear of Micah parsons, i'm sure he's too bad of a player to be a leader!
Just going by what I've seen. When the defense is getting their ***** handed to them its Kearse and Lawrence on the sidelines getting things under control. Its not Micah. Micah is their best player. Never said he was a "bad player". I thought the question was who was the leader?

No. Dlaw was the leader when they were more worried about their lifestyle image than being a good defense and it showed.

Parsons clearly sets the tone for the entire defense by physical presence and play alone, as he is no question the " War Daddy " (as the Jones define the term) that opposing teams absolutely
have to account for every time they break the huddle.

He is clearly a leader by example on the playing field and the impact player to be measured by. He's clearly our very best defensive player
and one of the very five best sheer defensive player in the entire NFL.
What's he like in the locker room? We know he likes to compete with his teammates, but does he push them and encourage them? When they have questions or concerns, do they go to him, or do they look elsewhere? I honestly don't know the answers to those questions, maybe he's the guy...but I don't get that sense.

Parsons is my favorite player, but leadership is about more than being great on the field.

Did you see who he had to take along with him? He tried to build morale with those dogs but he knew it was a joke.

The joke was coming out and saying the hot boyz is a lifestyle instead of at least attempting to instill a physical guard dog type attitude. Much of defense in most sports is about want to and their attitude was more pop star look at me than being about toughness.

You don't hear much from him these days
TBH, I've never seen Lawrence as much of a leader anyways. His pre-game bark has always been louder than his in-game bite.

And he was out to get paid, he played underhanded delaying his shoulder surgery, it was strictly business for him. So he of all people should fully understand that here in the not-so-distant future it's just strictly business when he gets cut to make room in the starting lineup for the emerging Sam Williams.

You don't hear much from him these days, not sure if that's good or bad. He used to be more vocal, but I guess with Micah being here, he's kind of taken a back seat??? I couldn't see him doing that years ago.

You also have a guy like Kearse who is a good vocal leader in that locker room. THIS IS NOT A BEAT DOWN Lawrence post, just asking is he still seen as a major leader on that defense, and has he taken the back seat to allow others to be more vocal!

I realize his value to this team, and years he's done his thing here as a cowboy. He's well respected by all players on this team...
If you watch things like Sounds from the Sideline, you'd see that Lawrence is a major voice for the defense during games. He seems to be getting quieter during the offseason, which I view as gaining a little bit of wisdom that Parsons doesn't have yet.

Judging by the pregame huddle ups we see in the Sounds from the Sidelines videos , I'd say he's still a leader.
Whoops, you made this point before I did. He takes an active role during games as a leader, but of course, he's not the only one. This team has several defensive leaders and they express it in different ways.

Rosters have multiple leaders. Demarcus is a leader, most likely the leader of the defensive line. However, the overall defensive leader is Micah Parsons.
If you watch sounds from the sidelines it’s always Lawrence give the pre match speech I think parsons maybe be the face of the defender but Lawrence is the leader

You may be 100% correct but simply mic'ing up anyone is not a definitive indicator. It does certainly show Lawrence is a favorite for capturing game time material like other players and coaches across the league.

Do you expect to see him gone next season
100% Guaranteed.
He will follow Zeke's path to no man's land as I highly doubt he will be able to land a job as a starter anywhere in the NFL landscape.
Do you expect Dak to turn it around this coming season with the schedule we have ahead of us?
Nahhhhh not even in la la land is this going to happen in his 8th season?
P.S. Remember the Boos and Garbage at home game has started and I expect more of the same that will force Jerry's hand in the matter!

DLaw is a vet. He takes care of his business on and off the field. I would think he’s viewed as a leader on defense.

Point is good. He needs an intense off season and a personal recommitment to team intensities the entire course of season.
