This season, will Armstrong or Williams be a stronger candidate for 8-10 sacks than will be Lawrence?

Part of why they weren't good is cause they were soft. You can't name 1 elite defensive player that is soft on the field.
I can't. But I also can't name one bad defensive player that's elite lol. And I mean this with all due respect to those guys because I know they are some gifted athletes but if you were trying to win a SB you are not going out there starting Carlos Watkins, Antaun Woods, Covington.....these are reserve players on a contender not starters.

I think we know what Lawrence is at this point. Great agains the run.....don't expect more than 6 sacks from him though.

Dan Quinn is the leader and they all believe.
Over time as they become dominant others will emerge
Guys like Lawrence are busy working on their game and learning this defense, instead of talking.

Exactly
And the media doesn’t determine leaders, the players do. It’s not always about being a star player either. Crawford was a captain because his team mates respected him
Players respected Crawford for all the wrong reasons. They respected how much money he was able to swindle out of idiot Jerry year after year with zero on field production. I want my players to respect the team leaders because the leaders are winners and work harder than anyone and care about more than just their contract status.

No. That would be #11.

I definitely think he’s the better. But I still think the veteran is the guy that sets the standards.

If you want to know how to maximize earnings potential you follow D Flaw. If you want to see what it takes to win in the NFL you follow Parsons.

Don't miss the key word - "a". Doesn't say he is "the" leader.

Yes, he is a leader....

I don’t think so. I think they respected him for his work ethic. I think players are rarely concerned about what other team mates get since that has little effect on them. What other teams pay similar players at their position is what actually affects them.
Like him or not Crawford was always praised for his work ethic and for playing anywhere they wanted him even if it wasn’t in his best interest

There is only one requirement to be a leader. You must be in front of everyone else. The leader is the only person who isn't looking at the back of someone else's head.

They lead by example, not by words. Leaders are often described as vocal or charismatic, but those descriptions ae only offered after he has successfully led everyone to success. During the actual time they are leading, they are typically not well liked or even appreciated. Quite often they are resented.

Why? Because through his actions, he forces his teammates to give more than what they originally intended.

How? This depends on the mentality if his teammates. If they are passionate about being the best then the mere fact that they are looking at the back of a leader's head is motivation enough.

Others just want to do enough to get by. They often form clusters or groups . There is security in numbers if you don't want your lack of motivation to be singled out. How does a leader motivate them?

Think of a runner on a track team. You will notice that, even if they are running in last place and have no hope in winning they still run as if they can win. Why is this?

This is because if the runner slows down towards the end, the leader will create a gap between them that is so wide, that people no longer wonder if he can win a race. Instead, they begin to wonder if he even deserves to be in the race.

Leaders are not chosen, nor can leadership be claimed. True leadership can only be revealed.

Micah Parsons is the leader of this defense.
