Is Merriman on way out in San Diego this year or next? Would Wade look at him?

That sounds about right to me.

If Wade is looking at him, it will be as DC with another team.

I usually jump on guys who get arrested for beating up women... but this one... well, it sounds like there actually is a plausible defense on Merriman's part... and if that is the case, SD would be crazy to think about letting him go. He's still a very good player.

It is Wade's contract year and he is not being offered an extension.

Even if Jerry does not go with Jason Garrett (I think he will) I think he would go get Holmgren or Shanahan.

I honestly think the only reasons Wade is here has to do with the amount of money the stadium cost. No way Jerry wants to pay a man not working for him.

Speaking of money, get Ware's deal done.

IMO, Wade would have to win the Super Bowl to save his job. He has a 3% chance of that happening.

32 teams X 3= 96.

I may need to consult John Glenn, but you are saying we are below average....

Merriman is not a thugg...Why are so many people so sensitive. Feels like I'm in church sometimes and nobody has ever got out of line or done something bad. First of all Nobody knows what really happened with tila tequila. Rich little girls tend to lie and be drama queens.

Merriman is a man child roids or not and if the chance ever came to Bring him to dallas it would be stupid not to accept the idea and be happy about it.
So the fact that I know someone who used to work out at the same gym as him in college and says he is a thug plays no part?

3% = 0.03

If you're going apply Hostile's percentage to teams (which I don't believe he was doing so in his post), then:

32 teams X .03 = .96

Vegas has us at 12-1. A solid 8.3% chance.

I would like to see him play one year without being 'roided up first.

Just sayin'.

Not sure what you're asking me, but I'll try and explain my 3% comment better.

1 team wins the Super Bowl. 32 teams.

1/32 = 0.0313 or approximately just barely over 3%.

So if you say the Cowboys are going to win the Super Bowl you have an approximately 3% chance of being right. If however you say that have no chance...

31/32 = .9688 or almost 97% chance of being right.

This is why the naysayers think they are always "right."

It's a week before the season opener, coming off two winning seasons, and there is this much talk -- with certainty -- about the current coach being fired.

Very strange. I don't ever remember anything like it.

This teams 22-10 reg. season record isnt really a reflection of good coaching. They win 64.5% of the time despite the coaching

Right, but two straight from the coach in question.

Are you discussing what Hostile posted or Vegas odds?

There aren't 96 teams.

If a 3% chance is applied to the odds of Dallas winning the Super Bowl, the Cowboys would enjoy a 96-1 chance of winning the Super Bowl.

Is this what you're implying Hos was stating in his post because I highly doubt he was doing so in that context.

If you think a wining season and nothing in the play offs saves his job, I'll sell you Manhattan for 24 dollars.

Yeah, Vegas looks at it in a different manner. Statistically speaking my way is mathematically correct. Theirs is to induce betting.

What? He already said above he thought Wade had to win the Super Bowl to save his job.

Landry would never have made it to the 70s with today's fans.

This is only true if all things are equal. . . . and they are not.

The Patriots don't = the Jets etc.

IMO/FWIW.

His 3% points to 1 out of 32. Implying our odds are on par w/ everyone else. The Vegas odds are 12-1, or 8.3%. Hostiles odds reflect an underestimation of the Cowboys chances this year
