Is Micah Parsons the best defensive player in the league?

Was a no show against the 49ers in the post-season, was a near no-show against the Eagles. He also wasn't dominant today either and saw him get stood up a couple times.

He could be the best defensive player in the league one day. But he's not there yet. Every single player on this defense has a lot to prove still after what they allowed against the Eagles.

Brilliant rebuttal. Yes, the best defensive player in the league who had his aggression used against him in the biggest game this season just a week ago and still getting lessons from NFL veteran offensive lineman, but sure, he's the best defensive player in the league.

TJ Watt, Myles Garrett, Aaron Donald, etc. are totally behind Parsons. Anoint him already. Guess he's already an all-decade player and HOF.

I believe he was set back the last two weeks due to his groin.

The SF playoff game he was just getting over Covid. I’m sure it slowed him down.

Not agreeing or disagreeing. Just could be why those games stuck out

No. Micah benefits from being on an already stacked defense. Mike Nolan made everybody think this was a terrible defense...it was not. You have/had D-law/Gregory and he had Osa playing like a top 7 DT early in the year when they were absent. He has the potential to be. He's playing along side Diggs (a top 8 corner) D-Law (a top 12 ish defensive end), A top 3-4 safety room. Also last year we had one of the best offenses which made offenses for the most part predictable.

Is he a better edge or lineman than Garrett, Watt, or Donald? Absolutely not. However his versatility gives him way more room to impact an offense than the aforementioned players. If Micah was injured it would suck but I still think our defense would be good. Those teams without Garrett,Watt or Donald would immediately turn into mediocre defenses.

lol are you serious? It was a brilliant game plan by the Eagles. Parsons was in a lose-lose situation most of the time.

Stop the slobbering. He had 2 sacks against a backup Tampa Line. 2 against the worst offensive line in the NFL Bungles. 1 more garbage time sack tonight. And that's 5 out of 7 of his sack totals for the year. :lmao2:

He's not Von Miller, Miles Garrett, Aaron Donald, or TJ Watt level. Not (yet), operative word yet.

You do know that they broadcast football games on TV now right? You can actually watch it on tv and see what is happening on the field. Try it out.

Is that what it is? Just a brilliant gameplan? Not the fact that he had the worst game of the season and was a no-show on the drive we needed him the most?

If you are going to be talked about as the "best defensive player in the league", then he better overcome that "Brilliant gameplan" and show up in big moments. I've read you same knuckleheads criticize Demarcus Ware for his late game disappearing, what has Parson's proven on the big stage or in the brightest lights so far for him to get this type of treatment?

As of now, he's had two big tests - he's got a failing grade in both of them. He's young and can learn, but settle down.

Maybe you should...and then maybe check out some other defensive players and league and stop disrespecting them? You realize there was a DPOY last year and it wasn't Parsons, yes?
