Tell that to Broaddus. It's not necessarily on the field effort (all though I've seen him duck making tackles), it's his lack of passion to come back from injuries and play hurt that bothers me and why he was called out by Broaddus multiple times last season.

Lack of passion to come back from injuries? Yeah, he got back slow from his late season injury because he missed some rehab.

Totally should have skipped his father's funeral and all that mourning with the family stuff. Selfish.

You need some IQ just to have enough brainpower to breath, blink, etc. I'm confident he has that.

I'm sure he does! LOL!

I think his bigger challenge is will power, not brain power. I get the impression he does not do enough off the field to prepare himself for what needs to be done on the field. I hope that is no longer the case and he performs up to Cowboys expectations.

6 on the Wonderlich wasnt a fluke?

Not when he came out and admitted he didn't care what score he got and didn't take the test seriously. That has been discussed at length since he was drafted. This isn't any kind of new news.

Which is the lamest excuse ever.

This is part of your job interview to make millions of dollars and set yourself up for life, and you "dont care". What a massive red flag and sign of his complete lack of intelligence. Seems like he doesnt care about too much to be honest.

Trade him and Orton for a jugs machine.

What do you think that he would be worth (right team /scheme. etc.)?

Well I do think a 3rd or 4th is what he would net right now due to his age and his draft stock. If Trent Richardson netted a 1st rounder....I think Claiborne could net a 3rd or 4th rounder. But I personally think he means more to us than a 3rd or 4th rounder. I don't know of anyone corners in the 3rd or 4th round that will have Claiborne's potential. And he may never reach that but I at least want to give him that shot of doing so.

According to that link it is a rumor. How valid a rumor it is well that's another story.

If I pop up and say "I'm hearing Aint's are trying to trade Drew Brees for a 3rd rounder...." I don't consider that a rumor. I consider that nonsense that a fan is just spewing about lol.

This isn't just any job. He was the best corner in the draft. He was going to get drafted. This isn't like a job where you are competing with 20 different people. In his case, I guess he was competing with 2 or 3 other guys as being the first corner drafted but he was going to get drafted regardless of his score.

Unless you get top value for Claiborne why trade him? You didn't get production out of the corner position last year, but you do have talent at the position,. Trading a CB now just means another hole to fill. Improve the front four, take the pressure off the back end of your defense, and see what these guys can do.

Claiborne will soon be playing on a pro bowl level and will be playing for the Cowboys for years.

I heard we're giving up our 1st round pick of the 2014 draft just so someone will take him, so far no takers ... :D

Basically the standard explanation anybody who gets a low Wonderlic provides.

I wonder how long his agent had to spend explaining to Claiborne, over and over again, how to provide that answer.

;)

I'm not even sure what "not caring" even means.

"I don't really care if I make myself look like an idiot"

Why even pick up the pencil at that point?

I'm more inclined to believe a learning disability than him actually not caring. Who welcomes ridicule?

Score low, didn't care.

What's there to care about anyway?

The questions are pretty straight forward and not all that difficult.

At some point, "don't care" starts to blur with deliberately getting questions wrong.

Q: "What's the 8 month of the year?"

A: "Tuesday!"

If we are trading the best CB since Deion, we better get a top 5 pick in return

alternatively, we could ask Arizona if they will trade for him straight up for Patrick Peterson because jerry said that he graded out better. clearly arizona would be getting the better end of the deal but i am in a generous mood today

The fact that this is being asked whether it's true or not tells you what a disappointment Claiborne has been. If the injuries continue in 2014 and his play doesn't improve the next time we see a thread like this it won't be a rumor.

I wouldn't trade him for a pick unless it's a #1. But, I like the idea of trading him for Couples strait-up, as someone in the draft zone proposed.
