why? he has obviously under-performed for his draft slot and he is due over $5 million next year. Now sounds like perfect time for Dallas to shop him if they don't see him as long term answer at CB.

He's only due 2.6m next year and they have an option for 2016

Since it's a Claiborne thread, anybody else here the DC.com guys discussing what Scandrick apparently had to say about Mo' after the WAS game this year? Apparently he was raving about Mo's potential for the long term, and it was unusual, because Scandrick rarely has anything really positive to say about anybody not named 'Scandrick,'

It's nothing here nor there, I just thought it was interest scuttlebutt and a rare bit of positive commentary about Mo's progress to-date.

Yeah, and then they joked about it, saying Scandrick was just hyping himself up, because he was starting over Mo.

Basically the standard explanation anybody who gets a low Wonderlic provides.
This is part of your job interview to make millions of dollars and set yourself up for life, and you "dont care". What a massive red flag and sign of his complete lack of intelligence. .

He didn't care about taking the test plain and simple. It's not like he was going to improve his draft position. Try to figure out what was going thru his head all you want but I wouldn't waste my time. HIs thought process is different than ours. Accept it and move on.

Well the keyword is "if". If you felt like he was a top 6 pick 2 years ago than you should still feel that way now unless you also feel your scouting department is that inept.

When is the last time anyone can point to Claiborne playing poorly?

When he plays, which is rare, he's the third best corner on the team. He makes no plays on the ball like we heard all about. He gives way too much cushion, and he gets lost in zone. No pass rush doesn't help, but he was definitely not worth swapping first-round picks and giving away a second rounder that year.

Ahh, last year and the year before come to mind. For the most part, the only times he hasn't played poorly were when he wasn't even able to suit up. 2 Years and two interceptions on errant, fluke passes just doesn't cut the mustard.

Even Sean Lee was ridiculing Claiborne last season calling him all talk and no action. Claiborne and his few fans left are nothing but talk at this point. He has been a colossal bust when you consider where he was taken in the draft.

Hopefully, he and Carr step up and deliver as expected especially considering how much money they are paid.

Yeah. Sean Lee is one for talking. He bruises his ****** every year and misses time.

Which one has more interceptions, Sean Lee or Claiborne?
Which one is not afraid to make a tackle, Sean Lee or Claiborne?

While Scandrick and Carr start, Claiborne is competing for playing time against BW Webb right now. Sean Lee is our best LB. Claiborne is a colossal bust who has done jack squat so far. Time for Claiborne to put his big boy pants on and play some ball or hit the road.

Is Sean Lee our Bob Sanders? Certainly arguable. Sanders was a top SS and really had an effect WHEN he was in the game.
Sean Lee has an effect WHEN he is in the game. I always thought the Colts held onto Sanders too long; will we make the same mistake with Lee? Sorry I do not care how good he is if he is not there at the end of the season when it really matters he might as well not be there at all.

Mo doesn't appear to be the brightest or most motivated player but I still believe he could thrive in the right kind of defense. The big question is whether or not Marinelli's defense has a place for a player like Claiborne.

So? Tell Sean Lee to put his big boy pants on and try playing a full season this year.

Bet you he can't. He will get an "owwy" and miss a few or more weeks.

On this board, it honestly doesn't matter. This kid will NEVER live up to his draft spot to some of these fans. He could be all pro this season and peeps on here would complain about how he sucked and was injury prone his 1st 2 seasons.
