I wouldn't even try. Stats is one of the main things painting Dak in a positive light, so not sure where you're getting your info. Besides, the opinion hasn't changed this week. Most of the NFL guys still have Dak in the top 10 since he didn't actually lose to the Texans, just barely beat them. Just like Allen barely beat the Lions, Brady barely beat the Saints, and Hurts barely beat the Colts. And so forth...

I think they painted him in a positive light last year due to a great start and some garbage time stats, but this year, not so great.

I’m just tired of hyperbole. He’s not trash, and he’s not elite. He’s in a big old jumble of 10-15 QBs that could all be considered average to good. He does have a great supporting cast this year, IMO better than Romo ever did, especially on defense

Call it what you want. I've watched every single Cowboys game for the past 25 years and Romo threw a few costly interceptions in the 4th quarter of games. That's just a fact. I'm not saying he has the most. I'm not saying the least. I'm saying Dak throws his picks earlier in games and Romo when he threw them would be closer to the end.
Dak averages more 4th qtr ints than Romo did per game
Drew Brees averaged more 4th qtr ints per game than Romo.
Tom Brady averaged 1 4th qtr int per 6 games
Rodgers who has probably one of the lowest I t rates ever was 1 every 7 games
Eli Manning-1 every 3 games
Peyton Manning-1 every 3.9 games

Romo was 1 every 5.1 games

If Dak doesn’t get to the NFC title game in his career, then it would absolutely be a yes. Both would be seen as good QBs that did nothing but gobble up stats during their careers. Dak still has time to avoid this….

Romo’s 44-3 loss in Philly remains the most gutless performance of any Cowboys QB ever. Dak has never had a performance anywhere near that bad. Romo is the most overrated QB in nfl history.

You're comparing Dak's 7 year career to Romo's 14 year career or Romo's first 7 years?

Romo had twice the talent than Prescott ever had.

We'd be much better off with him. Before his body broke down, obviously.

Romo during early years was too wild. Romo during last 3 years was an outstanding QB. He finally understood risk/reward at end of his career but it’s was too late.

Romo could anticipate at a level that Dak could never do…..at least the current Dak who’s often late with his passes.

From an undrafted FA and playing in JJ circus often without a real head coach I think Romo did all right.

Romo was better. But Romo needed a stronger coach. I'm convinced had Parcells stayed, Romo and the Cowboys would have made the Super Bowl.
Dak was more careful with the ball in his first year but has since regressed. He needs a better offensive coordinator.
Just as Romo wasted his career by having Jason Garrett as his coach, so too, Dak will waste his career having Kellen Moore as his OC.

It’s like 95 games to 154 and I don’t have splits for 1st seven years-no comment on the averages for some of the greatest QB’s like Brees And Peyton who he outperformed in this category?

Then coming back in the game with a punctured lung to win against SF should rank as gutsiest performance for a QB.

That's like comparing Carson Palmer to Kirk Cousins.

Carson had tons of arm talent, but just would F up just enough times to keep you from ever doing much in the playoffs.

Kirk is more careful with the ball, and can win a lot of games, but ultimately when it comes playoff time, his limited ceiling holds u back.

I won't say which one is Dak, and which one is Romo. It simply doesn't matter. BUT, they're both good enuff to keep the team in the news, which is Jerruh's goal.

So everyone’s darling SF lost to Chicago and Denver back to back. It happens.
At the beginning of the year. Teams aren't who they will be at the beginning of the season.
That's a bit different than getting beat down the stretch when teams should be peaking.

I've watched every Romo and Dak game. I can't say the same about Brees and Peyton. I do know Brees and Peyton had some crap years to end their careers. Romo health was why he retired. Those guys more so were cooked.
But if you're saying that Brees and Peyton got outperformed by Romo in the 4th quarter regular season? I'll take your word for it. Doesn't mean Romo didn't throw some costly picks in tthe 4th.
