My exact thoughts. At the very least, he needs one ring and another NFC Championship appearance. The window is closing rapidly.......................

Another NFC championship appearance? Has he been in one? Just asking cause I do not remember.

Absolutely not. Today's pass happy NFL chews up yardage and points. He hasn't even surpassed Danny White on the list of top Cowboys QBs.

Had to get my comment in before the thread lock...

No, now if he played for an actual team, or the Cowboys of old, then the answer very well could be different. With the cards he's been dealt, he has absolutely zero chance unless we somehow make a Super Bowl run within the next couple years.

His talent level is definitely capable of reaching the Hall, but fair or not, he's not worthy of it due to his atrocious playoff success.

And that is really the strongest statement that can be made of the last 18 years. In another time, this team and this QB would have been molded into a championship caliber team. No longer, and that is very hard to accept.

I would guess that most of the HoF qbs have either a championship or an MVP.

I think we need to look at this from an outsiders perspective...

Do any of us consider these past and present QBs to be hall of famers?: Phillip Rivers, Matt Ryan, Jay Cutler, Jim Everett, Drew Bledsoe, Mark Brunell, Jake Delhomme, Donovan McNabb

Romo is either a little better or a little worse than all of those guys and has accomplished the same or less than them as well. I wouldn't consider Romo to be a hall of famer as he stands now. It's not because I hate him or want to discredit him, but if I apply the same criteria across the board, then Romo isn't a hall of fame player.
