He can score someone like Jess.lane;2547593 said:hey tomson....you know how i feel about you and all...
one question though:
what exactly do you see in romo to make you have such confidence in him?

tomson75;2547625 said:Honestly, I'm not overly confident in Romo. Hopeful? Yes. Confident? Somewhat.
I was more or less referring to the fact that the comparisons to Manning are easily justifiable. We're basically discussing whether or not we should be giving Romo more time as he's failed late in the season in three consecutive seasons. The exact same things were said of Peyton Manning, and for someone to not grasp how that comparison is viable...."is beyond me".
Whether or not their careers pan out in similar fashion remains to be seen, but to bail on him now may be a mistake the like of which the Colts would have made if they had bailed on Manning after three years. We ride it out....but it may be time to spend a little more than a late round pick on a young QB....just in case.
I want to debunk that comment.tomson75;2547634 said:He's always had bad reads. He's a gunslinger. It comes with the territory.
The missed receivers didn't start happening with regularity until he got banged up. I'm hoping that stops with his returning health.
Peyton is a study-aholic and people were on him saying it was bringing him down.lane;2547699 said:thanks for the honest reply.
the reason i can't compare romo to peyton is because one takes the game a bit more seriously than the other one.
i know what you are saying though about not giving up yet.
hope you have a great year tomson.

You don't complete over 60% of your passes if you make bad reads.
interestedobserver;2547343 said:He's put up some nice stats, but hasn't delivered in the three most important games of his career. Is this an aberration, or is the guy a stat padder who will never deliver when it really counts?
iRoot4Losers;2547900 said:no doubt in my mind that Romo is the answer
put him in an offense that suits his strengths and he will light it up again
still will make the bone-headed decision at times
I learned today.tomson75;2547733 said:Well he didn't make bad reads in the 60%, but he did somewhere in the 40%.
I just meant that he's always had the propensity to throw an ill-advised pass here and there. I don't mean that it was the norm.
and guess what? I bet someone somewhere said the same thing about Peyton circa 2001-2DallasDomination;2547401 said:Dont compare Romo to Manning...The only thing romo has going for himself right now is that he does have some skills. But as far as brains and Leadership he does not. Atlast not that He's shown. Untill Romo Wins a Playoff game and doesnt choke and make bone head mistakes lets try and keep this realistic ok.
Dave_in-NC;2547907 said:Yup. Go to his strengths, get WRs to understand it isn't all about them but the win and he will be fine.
