Is Schoonmaker playing better or just someone has to play?

We don't know how to use two TE's in the passing game at the same time.

He has more upside as a receiver than Ferguson does. If he can just be an average blocker he'll be worth the second round pick.

Always been under-rated and under appreciated. If he was a 3rd round pick...... they would already be getting ready to replace Witten in the ring of honor.

Ferg played extremely well (last year), but he's been another disappointment in 2024.

He is a better overall talented TE than Fergie who is slower than molasses.
If the coaches bothered to coach him up and play him more this kid could be a force.

I do not see him being the starter; Ferguson is simply better

Fergie does not have the God-given attributes to be a TOP TE in the NFL.

He was moving pretty fast on that little catch and sideline run on the first drive of the game. First time I think I've seen the 4.65 speed. Would love to see him with some room to run down the middle of the field.

Ferg played extremely well (last year), but he's been another disappointment in 2024.

Ferg was touted as being a poor man's Gronk. He still might be, but it appears he is not healthy and looks slow. Also his hands have turned to stone.
