I remember the days when the schedule didn't scare us. We just took on all comers....Now, it seems we just search all over for excuses. It's kind of sad.
I don't understand why everyone is harping over the schedule. We all new who (division wise) they were playing. The only thing that was unveiled was the time, day, month, etc.

My mindset has not changed. I look forward to seeing the Cowboys compete vs teams like the 9ers, seahawks and saints. I know not many give us a chance in hell, I like that even better.
Don't get me wrong, I am still very excited come game time. I was mainly talking about people who make excuses before the season is even started just by looking at the schedule.
In 56 regular season games, Jason Garrett has a .194 career winning percentage against teams above 500.
That means that he loses 4 out of every 5 games against teams above 500...............................that is laughably bad.
When the only teams you can beat are the Western Omahas of the NFL, it really is quite telling of your coaching ability (or lack of).
Now this is a factual post that serves a purpose.
It's due to Goodell moving the draft back and there is nothing else to talk about. You know being negative is easier than positive when it comes to the Cowboys.I don't understand why everyone is harping over the schedule.
I see the point but the Beast appears to make the fatal mistake that many do as viewing the record
as a permanent indicator of the future. Nothing is static and unchanging things change from moment to moment.
If things were permanent nothing would change and Seattle would have never become Super Bowl champions.

Most tend to think the schedule will be tough on the Boys this coming season. Last season the defense injury bug was the excuse. This year the Horrible, Last Place Defense, that lost Ware & Hatcher is already being used by some to lower expectations.
Will this "tough schedule" with 4 of our last 6 games on the road be an automatic excuse for Red _ if we dont make the playoffs again?
8-8 for the last three seaons is permanent, whether we want to agree with it or not, its in the history books and will always be looked at as indictator right or wrong. some teams had worse records and won it all, and some had better records and left out of the playoffs. Its a system, a train of thought, and lots of factors that determine not just the records but how the whole brand is judged. Whether destorying dynasties or flat out changing the game to get more viewership, the person or persons at the helm have dictated the course and all have to ride out the storm.
