I'm confused.......I thought this was settled. If this is STILL a question, it raises serious concerns they have about Guyton, IMO, not to mention he's competing with Thomas.

How were they supposed to do this? trade back & get Lomu rather than take Caleb?Because Jerry never bothered to draft a new starter at LT.
Guyton is a bust. Nate is worse.
They passed on Lomu in the 1st and Trost in the 3rd.
Both All-Conference/All-American OTs.
Ridiculous.
first option, yes.Who plays LG? Bass? 8)

'Fail' is a bit strong IMO.......he certainly won't be as good, but I think he will hold his own.If Guyton bombs might try to put Smith at LT again and line up TJ Bass at LG, in the name of "getting our five best on the field". But that's setting Smith up to fail and he knows it.
That's one problem but Schotty suggested he still having issues with footwork and hand placement. That's wild as a former 1st round pick going into his 3rd year. It also shows the level of on concerns they have about his ability to start IMO.It's only been a couple of years, but Guyton is just always injured.
