Is Tyler Smith playing tackle or guard in 2026?

He'll play left tackle when, not IF, Guyton is fired for performance or injured.
Over/under currently at 10 games imo.

Because Smith is our starting Guard. It's not like he is on the bench not playing and the only change is Smith for Guyton. It's option 1: Smith at a near All Pro level at OG and Guyton for option 2: a guy like Bass and Smith at OT which is more of an unknown for him. We will make the switch if we have to but we aren't there today, so today Smith is a Guard. My preference is sign a veteran OT to at least create a floor there that isn't horrible and let Guyton try to beat that vet out. I wouldn't be surprised if Smith ends up at OT, I'm just saying as of today he is not

No he’s not today because Guyton is. You initially bad it was a non story and I don’t think hats the case. I don’t believe they are gonna let Guyton learn on the job again.

I'm confused.......I thought this was settled. If this is STILL a question, it raises serious concerns they have about Guyton, IMO, not to mention he's competing with Thomas.

From everything I've read the majority of what holds Guyton back is his heart/want to.

News on that front has been very positive this offseason.

Id wager he does enough to keep Smith at guard.

want to counts a lot, but quickness of the foot and flexibility is a must if you are going to hold the line at LT and Thomas just ain;t got it

The team said that Thomas would be competing for the spot. Until that changes, I believe he is the next option over a fourth-round rookie.
