After the injury situation we had, that really wouldn't have been fair to Wade.
Honestly, how we handled injuries should have been a major reason behind his firing.
Romo gets hurt with an injury that 99.9% of QBs miss a month with. Instead of sitting him and moving forward, we have this limbo week where Tony tries to wait and see if he can throw. An hour before the game he's declared out. That sort of uncertainty likely contributed strongly to our loss that day.
Next, we simply refused to let Barber heal. Similar to the Romo story leading up to the Steelers game... gametime decision. As if the a nagging injury that only gets better with rest is going to magically mend. Instead of sitting him another week after that, he plays injured, and as Wade noted, the team missed an opportunity to get him healthy for the last one or two games of the year.
Indecision. That's the key problem here.
