It appears Cowboys RB Malik Davis is the favorite to be the No. 2 RB behind Tony Pollard

Malik must have had a change of attitude. Someone said that he said something about why bother practicing if they aren’t going to use me and talked trash about some of the staff. So he was grounded by the staff during the niners game. If that’s true then the staff needs to be put on blast and are idiots. You use the best players you have available. If they didn’t trust the ball in his hands is one thing but if they are butt hurt because he said the truth and it hurt staffs feelings then I am mad because that was a very winnable game. That 2nd and 2 int Dak threw should have been a run play. I bet Moore won’t make a second year where he is now unless they have a really good team that can run the same plays over and over.

I'm sure zeke plays this year. Hoping it's here...to piss everyone off...especially when he plays well and helps us win.

He has to

1) stay healthy
2) good playing time management
3) good overall run scheme
4) better o-line play

The same I hope for Tony and all our RBs.
Some think he is out of gas or has nothing left. He has been injured for the last 2 years. The dude is tough and don’t set out games. That’s the staffs fault for not setting him. They did this with Witten also. Let him come out when he wanted to and witten never pulled himself and it’s why we had a hard time getting a decent TE. Whomever we brought in barely got any playing time. I think Elliot will be good this year. Not his rookie shape but good enough.

Maybe there is a reason that the RB coach from last year is gone...

I would not bet against Kellen Moore...
His QB is Justin Herbert...

Every carry of Davis he’s into the second level gaining tough yards . He shared the backfield at Florida with the Texans rookie Pierce who had a very nice rookie year in Houston . Guy has talent , needs touches . For an entire series make him the feature back , spell Pollard . Sprinkle in Vaughn .

That phrase should be put on their 2021 and 2022 tombstones

the point that you’re missing is that when Pollard went down against the Niners, the lack of talent and depth at the WR position reared its ugly head…..unless you want to pin the blame on the quarterback.
It was clear after that happened that Lamb was the only playmaker we had left.

Davis is fantastic between the tackles. And while both backs aren’t bruisers, RB’s are built differently these days. Speaking of that, TP is not small. He’s 6’ and 218.
How is davis….”fantastic between the tackles”?

Ok then why would you not trust him to run the ball after Pollard went down in the niners playoff game. That over the line dump pass was there all day. Now he is #2. Just bring Elliot back on a cheap deal and let him block on blitzes and run the draw plays. He is healed and healthy now.
Are you scared? Life without the great zeke?

Just grab Elliot. We know he can protect Dak and can hammer the line early. He will play for cheap now. And he is a leader. Honestly something tells me JJ has a contract waiting for him but Elliot is waiting to see if someone gets injured and will pay him more.
Lol….and then you woke up all stickey.

Buddy, hate to break it to you, but they put in davis shortly after pollard went down. First play he was pass blocking and whiffed and almost got dak killed. They never put him in again. Go watch the tape.

it all goes back to the FO failure at the position. Personally i think they are doing it again.
