It appears Cowboys RB Malik Davis is the favorite to be the No. 2 RB behind Tony Pollard

Davis is fantastic between the tackles. And while both backs aren’t bruisers, RB’s are built differently these days. Speaking of that, TP is not small. He’s 6’ and 218.

Really don't care who we have if we don't fix the o-line personnel and scheme.

"But um Steve you know our o-line was top ranked, right"

Okay...so why were people so excited about how Tony showcased his speed to the edge? Wasting yards instead of busting it up the non=existent hole?

Again, it's probably because I just haven't seen much on him (while I just read something about McKeon showing improvement), but I'm not sure on Luepke right now. I think his spot comes down to whether we keep a fourth TE and McKeon may have the advantage there.
I am assuming some things with him, I think the preseason games will tell the tale for him. If he can show he belongs, his versatility as an H-back/FB/Short Yardage back and special teams will be valuable imo.

I'd be good with this, if he has continued show progress. He showed flashes last year.

Yep, they only won 13 games last year.
That phrase should be put on their 2021 and 2022 tombstones

the point that you’re missing is that when Pollard went down against the Niners, the lack of talent and depth at the WR position reared its ugly head…..unless you want to pin the blame on the quarterback.

……let the dumpster diving begin.
Hiring an accomplished vet for dirt cheap...that you already are paying.....that has results and knows the system and your beloved QB likes.....might not be in the dump.

Try to stow your pure hate..and think like a businessman. If you think you might need some shoring....

Is this alleged dumpster better than our #2, #3, #4, #5, #6?

Try to answer honestly.

Can we manage him correctly...give him AND the rest of the RB crew the right tools?

Try to answer honestly.

And that’s the first time I’ve been accused of thinking of Rayne Dakota as “ Beloved”…..I’m usually called a hater, lol!……damned if I do and Damned if I don’t

Ok then why would you not trust him to run the ball after Pollard went down in the niners playoff game. That over the line dump pass was there all day. Now he is #2. Just bring Elliot back on a cheap deal and let him block on blitzes and run the draw plays. He is healed and healthy now.

Just grab Elliot. We know he can protect Dak and can hammer the line early. He will play for cheap now. And he is a leader. Honestly something tells me JJ has a contract waiting for him but Elliot is waiting to see if someone gets injured and will pay him more.

I'm sure zeke plays this year. Hoping it's here...to piss everyone off...especially when he plays well and helps us win.

He has to

1) stay healthy
2) good playing time management
3) good overall run scheme
4) better o-line play

The same I hope for Tony and all our RBs.
