The Cowboys always win the Super Bowl twice a year, right after the NFL draft and throughout Training Camp. The real Super Bowl in January or February, not so much. Jerruh is the master of hype and he does it so well that Cowboys World buys it year after year. Perhaps our teams are just not that good and that our yearly failures in the playoffs should be no surprise. I, for one, stopped believing in the Jones family. Jerruh is a master huckster and Stephen, was born on third base and thinks he hit a triple. He is the ultimate dummy. We can enjoy the regular season where we beat up all the weak teams, get a double digit win season. We should just default our first playoff game and instead root for Kansas City.
The entire Cowboys world DOESN'T buy the hype year after year, that falls in the lap of the ignorant blind homers who refuse to see the team and franchise for what it really is.

MM probably has the script memorized.
To be fair, coaches, and athletes, rarely reveal any earth shattering news. They use cliché and old worn-out generic phrases.
The last earth shattering news out of Cowboys HQ was when Jimmy was forced out.

Garrett was the HC for 9 full seasons. The team was a wreck when he became the interim HC in 2010. We were in the process of rebuilding the OL, which became the best in the entire league under Garrett. We had a 12 win season and tied a franchise record with 13 wins in 2016 despite having a rookie QB. We won a couple of playoff games and showed some fight in our playoff losses. Not once did we lay an egg in the playoffs. We were in every game. So far McCarthy has been a failure. We lead the league in penalties practically every season and despite winning 12 games in each of our last three seasons we look uninspired in the playoffs and
fold once we get behind.

I’m certainly not saying Garrett was a better coach but I don’t remember as many butt whippings with him especially in games we were favored in. We showed a lot more fight and resiliency in the playoffs under Garrett. The team doesn’t seem to want to go to battle for McCarthy which has been very evident in the two losses to GB and especially the one in the playoffs. The players knew both games meant a lot especially for McCarthy and they didn’t show up in either game.
Bottom line is, in 10 years Garrett never took this team to a SB and never came close and McCarthy probably wouldn't have come any closer than Garrett did even if he had 10 years. Neither one was going to take this team all the way. That's why they dumped JG and McCarthy will most likely be gone after this year.

True, but he never added any more in the remaining 3 1/2 years, so 2 wins was the total for his 9 1/2 years. That was my original point.
But perhaps we could allow him xtra points for clapping?
“But it took Garrett 10 years to do it.”

Your post was misleading and only reason I responded . No worries.

No Cowboys HC this Century has taken Cowboys to the SB or NFCCG. It’s not an exclusive club for these 2.

Amazingly one of the worst HC’s actually had about as much success in the playoffs as anyone else with 3 Divisional rounds and arguably the closet in 2 of those against GB to actually making NFCCG.

We were arguably a miraculous 3rd and 20 from Rodgers and the catch that wasn’t by Dez of kicking the door down. Only Wade in 2007 came as close IMO.
