.......except draft in a good position. The only thing worse than being a playoffs failure is turning around and having a bottom 10 draft spot

Hooray,.........we win the regular seasons with consistently one of the easiest schedules in the league........and then face truly strong teams and get bent over.
You could become a Jets or Bears fan and get that good draft position that you crave.

The main reason they lost to the Packers was the lack of linebackers. They look like they have taken care of the linebackers and have a good shot of improving the oline and also added a good run stopping edge.
Uhh....how about the offense going in to the 4th quarter with just 16 points and 2 quarterback turnovers against a WILDCARD team at HOME?

Let's not revise history just yet......save that for when we forget the details of that game.

The main reason they lost is McMikes inability to have his team ready to play. Along with inability to make game time adjustments

I'll disagree, they had a big hole at linebacker after the injuries and fell short at the end.

Lol, the Cowboys look like a legit double digit win team again.
Take the rose colored glasses off or simply wipe the dirt off them......this is gonna be an ugly season but it's well worth it to get rid of the overpaid dead weight.

It's just what has to be done. The Star will shine again if they get this right this time

Then put your life savings on the under 10.5 wins.

I don't know why you expect anything insightful from him. A 10 year old playing Madden can manage the clock better than he can.

Then lets be the Commanders, a consistent 4 to 7 win per year team that goes through quarterbacks and head coaches like tissues during flu season.

I get what you are saying, but the main goal really should be just getting to the playoffs. History has proven anything can happen once you get there. For a variety of reasons taking the next step hasn't happened for the Cowboys in three decades.

I also don't buy into the whole "easy schedule" rhetoric. If the Cowboys were a bad team they wouldn't beat anybody. Good teams beat the bad teams. That's how we tell them apart.

We are a good team in the regular season. We beat up on all the losers except Arizona. But like every year, when we arrive at the playoffs, whether at home or away, Mr. Prescott the leader of the team, chokes. He is not ready to play, he is scared and has the look of someone who wants to go home and watch the playoffs on TV.

Dak was bad against the Packers in the playoffs last year, yet the Cowboys beat better teams than Green Bay in the regular season (Lions, Eagles, Rams, Seahawks).

But the defense was also so bad in that game, Green Bay literally could have picked their score. They had receivers running 40 yards downfield uncovered.

If Dak's playoff performances are unacceptable than I can't see how the rest of the team gets let off the hook for being just as bad or even worse. Dak could have played the best game of his career in the playoffs last year; and all that would have meant was a narrower loss. Not that difficult to see if we stop making it about one player.

He didn't look scared at Tampa.

This is just about every coach in the league.

The press conferences don’t matter. All that matters is winning on the field.

McCarthy’s press conferences are getting old because he hasn’t gotten the team over the hump and they just got dominated in a wild card round playoff game.

If the cowboys just won a Super Bowl, McCarthy could take a dump on the podium and us cowboys fans would love it.

If there ever was a wait-and-see year for the Dallas Cowboys and their fans, this is it.

Getting excited over the Blue Kool-Aid type of hype is strictly for the hapless suckers.

Nevertheless, if being a less than championship year is good to you, just have a ball.

As has been the case for several years now, I'd satisfy myself with being entertained.

There are entirely to many posters on this website who can't wait to criticize McCarthy no matter what he does or doesn't do. Maybe the results of this team's failures to find success in the playoffs weren't entirely his fault. I believe poor management had as much to do with those failures as anything else that can be blamed for them. I think that facts exist that he's on the Jones' blacklist for many mistakes when they were just as guilty of, when they much preferred to blame them on McCarthy. It's far more convenient to point fingers toward him than to blame themselves. Overly inflated egos will often find that preferable to admitting incompetence.
The hate for McMarthy is weird.

And DT's. Need both. Neither is good w/o the other.
