Roger was doing real estate brokerage as a member of the team. I do think Roger would have been successful regardless of playing football or not. Having said that some here seem to think being a Cowboy QB gets special endorsements that no other NFL QB gets and that is far from reality.

I don't think its that far of a push. When is the last time you have seen Ben Roethlisberger or Joe Flacco in a commercial VS Dak, Aaron, and Mahomes?

There are two cowboys Qb's right now making big bucks in broadcasting. I don't think they get the same opportunity other wise.

Roethesberger ruined most of his marketing value with his off field behavior early in his career. Not to mention he’s also famous for being a first class jerk.

About the same as Qunicy Carter, your actions and things you say can cost you endorsements. Ben had those sexual assault that hurt him, hell even Tiger woods lost many endorsement because of his affairs. As for Aikman and Romo in broadcasting personality has a lot to do with it but again it is not isolated to Cowboy players there are many former players in broadcasting that never played in Dallas. Being an NFL player having success and having personality goes a long way but I don't think just being a Cowboys player means anything outside of Dallas fans.

Here we go again...Joe Montana had Jerry freaking Rice and about six other hall of famers. So by your logic Joe Montana is an above average qb who needed playmakers around him to succeed. Lol.

same logic applies to Elway , Manning, Brady, Marino, Fouts, Favre, Aikman, Young, Simms, Roethlesberger, etc etc. Every one of these QBs had as much or more talent around them than Dak. Mahomes has Kelce and Tyreek even!

So I crush your argument and ask you to go hang your head in shame where it belongs.

If you can't see the difference in a QB elevating the talent around him vs one that NEEDS superb talent around him to succeed, maybe you haven't watched enough of the game.
PS. You can't crush my argument because it is MY observation just sharing it, now you agree or disagree that's your choice.

Please explain how Dak throwing for 500+ yards twice isn’t elevating those around him. Even if it’s just your opinion you got to have some basis in reality or your opinion gets crushed.

What I think thread is about is. Dallas is prime time. they got flexed this year for the first time in forever. That should had been a wake up call.

Treatment of this team trumps others. Anyone that says different is just wrong. Heck, the Thanksgiving game alone should be worth a lot.

Every football fan in America is watching those. The people that are trying to tell me its equal are just wrong. It is indeed lucrative to be the Dallas Cowboys QB.

Gallup is elite? He is a good compliment to Cooper but elite? No way.

Mahomes has two all pro receivers so does that apply to him as well?

Yes Gallup is elite, and Mahomes do have weapons no doubt , but say Mahomes or Dak was put on say, Miami's roster who would you bet on to have the most success?

That is a little harsh for Romo (i'm guessing that is what you are saying), but I am one of the few people that think Danny White was better than Romo. At least we got to three championship games with White.

Exactly you have to take into account endorsement money + broadcasting money (example Aikman and Romo). Dak isn't really thinking long term. He would be irrelevant if he was a Jaguar.

Gallup is not an elite receiver. His route tree is limited and he has benefited from the attention paid to Amari and now CeeDee. Gallup is a great compliment to Coop but if Amari would go down so would Gallup’s production.

And no one is saying Dak is better than Mahomes. But I 100% guarantee you that Mahomes’ production would go down without Tyreek, Kelce, and the Andy Reid offense. It would go down significantly.

You were saying Dak is as good as Mahomes, Montana, Elway and who ever else you listed. That is the basis of your argument isn't it?

I don't get how we are putting that on the Cowboys....you could argue if Romo went to the Patriots he'd probably have a ring and be viewed like Tom Brady. You could argue the Cowboys have done more harm to Romo and Dak than they have good. But it would also depend if you think Dak and Romo were products of the Dallas Cowboys and I don't think they were.
