This! Roger’s business success and wealth was certainly aided by his name recognition as a Cowboy. But watching his post football business career is a textbook example of guy who is a brilliant businessman more than a beneficiary of having a star on his helmet.

Roger was doing real estate brokerage as a member of the team. I do think Roger would have been successful regardless of playing football or not. Having said that some here seem to think being a Cowboy QB gets special endorsements that no other NFL QB gets and that is far from reality.

I don't think its that far of a push. When is the last time you have seen Ben Roethlisberger or Joe Flacco in a commercial VS Dak, Aaron, and Mahomes?

There are two cowboys Qb's right now making big bucks in broadcasting. I don't think they get the same opportunity other wise.

About the same as Qunicy Carter, your actions and things you say can cost you endorsements. Ben had those sexual assault that hurt him, hell even Tiger woods lost many endorsement because of his affairs. As for Aikman and Romo in broadcasting personality has a lot to do with it but again it is not isolated to Cowboy players there are many former players in broadcasting that never played in Dallas. Being an NFL player having success and having personality goes a long way but I don't think just being a Cowboys player means anything outside of Dallas fans.

This is the reason I'm not behind maxing Dak out. He is at best an above average QB, who will need play makers around him to succeed, a fact he should be aware of. Another fact he should be aware of is that all the endorsement wealth he is and will have the opportunity to cash in on, is due to which helmet he puts on, and not who he is as a player.

What I think thread is about is. Dallas is prime time. they got flexed this year for the first time in forever. That should had been a wake up call.

Treatment of this team trumps others. Anyone that says different is just wrong. Heck, the Thanksgiving game alone should be worth a lot.

Every football fan in America is watching those. The people that are trying to tell me its equal are just wrong. It is indeed lucrative to be the Dallas Cowboys QB.

Exactly you have to take into account endorsement money + broadcasting money (example Aikman and Romo). Dak isn't really thinking long term. He would be irrelevant if he was a Jaguar.

I don't get how we are putting that on the Cowboys....you could argue if Romo went to the Patriots he'd probably have a ring and be viewed like Tom Brady. You could argue the Cowboys have done more harm to Romo and Dak than they have good. But it would also depend if you think Dak and Romo were products of the Dallas Cowboys and I don't think they were.
