Well old timer I didn't get to experience a lot of that time and I wish I had.
It’s too comfortable at new stadium for a football game. And too many distractions beginning with Jerrytron overhead scoreboard.

I do attend other events there like HS playoffs and college football. Not bad for it. But it will never the same for a Cowboy game. I’d rather go back to the Cotton Bowl where I began.

It’s not just about Cowboys Football anymore.

HS football is huge in Jersey as well. The games have more passion than anything I see at jerryworld. College Football is ok we will see if Rutgers can put together a team with Schiano coming back

Jerryworld is a circus tent with a football game as one of the attractions.

I never saw a game at the Cotton Bowl but I loved Texas Stadium.

so those two clowns managed to win 2 division titles and go 1-2 in the playoffs and take the great HOF Rodgers to the brink and one of his classic all time come back wins...what a bunch of clowns.
the two clowns also failed in their jobs 2 other seasons that allowed the eagles to make the playoffs and win the super bowl in one of them...we should've made the playoffs every year

Trust me I know how that is. NY yankees new stadium is like that now. It's mostly business ppl meeting up not even looking at the game or cheering. I'm not even a baseball fan but one of my clients gives me bomb seats about 12 rows behind home plate. I at least have the respect to pay attention to the game.
I'm anti yankees, and I would love to be able to watch a game 12 rows back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I said we were a talent dependent franchise.

And Ive maintained Garrett has Game Day flaws. Basically his coaching wasn’t what I supported.
I can agree with most of that.

I only feel the need to insert when it’s not clear if certain aspects are being considered.

I felt many on here in recent years from the rhetoric being presented were holding Garrett completely responsible. And not recognizing some of his contributions or challenges that all of our HC this era had to overcome . Jerry is part of that narrative and argument.

While most realize Jerry is the core cause of our dysfunctional organization since Jimmy left there are times fans want to defend him and or his actions and basically not hold him ultimately responsible.

Again in those moments and or situations I feel the need to remind and reenforce he’s our greatest handicap ,hindrance and obstacle to overcome.

There was NOT enough talent to win a SB, but plenty of talent to go far in the playoffs and do damage.

Garrett was simply bad at his job and was overwhelmed. He was the 100% wrong type of coach for Jerry.

Jerry needs a guy he can trust and respect like MM that he will listen to. A guy that will FORCE change in the culture and how we do things. That is what MM is doing.

Garrett was a puppet that really only oversaw the offense and then eventually had most of his offensive powers stripped from him. He was kinda a walk around nice guy that made it like a CC culture here.

We can agree we probably did haven’t enough talent to go to a SB but there’s no way to know for certain if we should have gone further in the playoffs. We obviously got very close a couple times going further but came up short and was very disappointing and heartbreaking. But it’s a pure speculative argument if we “ should” have gone further.

If it wasn't for Garrett bumbling the game plan or clock management at the end of both GB playoff games, we win one or both games. The talent was there. Better coaching and we make the NFC championship games.

Again that’s yours opinion. Something we can’t officially quantify.

There were some plays made and not made which could have changed the outcome. Whether they would have been enough to win are still speculative assessments regardless how much you believe in them.

Playing devils advocate as I often do I could present an argument for both sides which illustrates how judgemental we can be drawing our opinions based on our beliefs coming in.

Game plan maybe cant be 100% verified, but I watched Garrett bumble the clock and in game management right before my eyes. You can deny it all you want.

I am interested in people that give their honest opinion and back it up with credible argument. Not some troll that plays games with which side he takes, cant back it up, and then lies about it when he gets it wrong afterwards.

Of course. This is where you begin personal insults when others don’t agree with you. That’s troll like behavior.

All opinions don’t need credible arguments to support them. It’s up to you to decide which ones you feel are worth countering.

Being right or wrong about an opinion is highly over rated. Handicappers, experts and analysts get it wrong all the time. Lol

I saw plays in those games that potentially had more effect than any mis clock Mgmt.

You just admitted you play "devils advocate" just because it funs for you. THATS what trolls do.

Calling you a troll isn't trolling. Its just calling you exactly what you are.

If you are insulted by the word troll, then stop being one. Anyone that gets his kicks out of starting arguments for the fun is a troll.

And by the way...…………...playing "devils advocate" is not having an opinion. Its playing games.

LOL...………….if being wrong doesn't matter to you, then how come you never admit you were wrong?

And why do you always "give myself a escape route in an argument", if "being wrong isn't important".

Like always, you cant even keep up with your own BS and your own lies.

You don’t even know what the definition of troll is. Lol

If it’s all BS and Lies why are you so fixated on disputing ? It should be obvious to everyone and a complete waste of time. But here you are. Lol

I have been reading all the Dak threads and it seems that he is such an average QB, not talented and some even say he is not worthy of starting in this league and that QBs like him are dime a dozen and can be found anywhere, any time....so Garrett had done an outstanding job, by winning to NFC east titles and going 1-2 in the playoffs, being handicapped at the most important position on the team for the past 4 years....he must have not realized he has hit fools gold in 2016......

I guess we should have kept Garrett, given what he accomplished with such an average to below average QB...

Just imagine what a real HC could've done.

I’m really looking forward to see if all of our issues were coaching or could it have been possibly more about our talent or lack of it in certain areas.

If it was just lack of talent, I'd at least partially blame that on Garrett. Unlike Garrett, MM was an excellent influence on our draft and FA acquisitions this spring. McCarthy saw to it Our DL received some badly needed attention after Garrett ignored it for years, and IMO our draft was definitely the best draft I've seen in a long time.
So whether it was talent or coaching or both, I still blame Garrett.

I would agree that if I’m going to credit Garrett for his influence in building a better roster he needs to be held at least partially accountable for the mistakes in the draft as well which prevented us from more success.

My bigger point is I feel Garrett influenced an improved culture with personnel Mgmt and drafts which enabled us to field a more consistent competitive team. I certainly understand the negative that can be spun but that wasn’t my focus.

I saw Garrett despite his coaching flaws as more of a positive influence on Jerry’s ways and I supported him along with if we were going to be stuck with Puppets he was one I could get behind with he and his families Cowboys connection which provided a connection to our histories past. I never understood with that history why more fans didn’t rally behind him.
