Oslo has been a soft target for years, i'm surprised it took this long for something like this to happen. Every time there's been a terrorist threat politicians and police brush it off saying this is Norway we're to nice no one will ever attack us.

I live right at the edge of Oslo this is downtown, only thing i noticed was how little traffic it was out of the city, usually it's pretty dense on fridays during rush hour so it was pretty bizarre once i turned on the news when i came home it became pretty clear why. The majority of down to has been totally closed off now while the search for more bombs

The gunman is on the lose on the island where the prime minister was i'm guessing most of the swat guys are down town so he'll probably have to deal with special forces soldiers. I hope they shot to kill and don't try to take this guy alive. Norwegian prisons are a joke (flat screen TVs on the cells and stuff like that) and the max sentence here is 21 years. Way to good for this guy who just killed 4 kids

The gunman is on an island in the Oslo Fjord so he's isolated, the bomb was down town a few blocks away from the main shopping street, in a unsecured government area (yes Norwegians are that naive). I live on the outskirts of the city well clear of the chaos down town. Most of down town has been completely closed off now as these guys are still on the lose

They had that up on news sites here for like 5 minutes then took it down, it's total chaos here now one news channel reporting one thing and another the opposite

Unconfired reports now of as many as 25-30 kids killed at Utøya, that makes me even more "happy" that the maximum penalty here is 21 years prison. Their failure to shoot this guy means he will be out on the streets again after a nice vacation in one of our luxury prisons
