It's almost over

The Cowboys are too big to fail at this point. Icons get a lot of leeway. They get attention even when they are failing on the field. They are also a cash cow for the NFL and will be promoted and marketed by the league.

Having said that, it is hard to remember a time when the attention has been as negative as it is now and I think that is reflected in the way this offseason has gone. It does appear that Jerry is feeling the vibe and has tried to respond to some extent.

I have zero interest in this franchise, except to watch it fall and see how big the fallout will be.
Corruption reigns throughout the NFL and with the Cowboys falling it will have a domino effect on the league.
So really I am watching to see how far the league will go to stabilize the franchise. Much like the games vs the Detroit Lions of the past two years and vs the Texans from Lovie Smith's final season- and a couple of others- it became pretty clear that the NFL was willing to intervene to keep the Cowboys relevant.
And that's when the Anti-trust lawsuits begin.
then stop posting about cowboys. stop watching cowboys. stop watching NFL. the only way to oppose them is to totally ignore them. you being here, posting like you do, looking for attention is you supporting the cowboys. you are in a football forum. you are in a cowboys forum.

and your off the rails, drunken state conspiracy theory about NFL doing things to keep cowboys relevant, without any explanation of why..... because you didn't like the cowboys winning, because Gawd knows upsets and strange plays don't happen in any NFL game over the past 55 years and the 1000s of games played. only past couple of years with cowboys!!

man, please for your own sake. stop drinking. attend your AA meetings. you have no idea how dumb you look right now. I mean you have no IDEA...you disappeared for a while, perhaps jail time, I don't know, but now you are back again, none the wiser and still the clown that you have always been.
you are a sad state of a human being.

Attendance? That's the proof we can't dispute to say interest is waning?

LOL, attendance is dictated by stadium capacity. There's only 3 stadiums with capacity over 80K, and surprise surprise those 3 stadiums teams are in the top 4 of attendance (the Jets and Giants share one). Even the sucky Jets are in the top 3, because....spoiler alert, their stadium holds more people. So the fact that Dallas has close to the biggest stadium in the league, and also plays AT the Giants every year, guarantees the Jets, Giants and Cowboys will all be near the top every year, even if nobody really pays any attention to them.

Of COURSE Jerry wants to pack as many people into his games as possible: more seats = more tickets.

The Chiefs, or Panthers could vault to the top of that list if they wanted to, they'd just have to throw in more seats
and yet there are teams in the NFL that despite the smaller stadium, don't sell out...hmmmm then there is that!

As soon as the Cowboys start winning you’ll be with all the other Rats trying to climb back on the ship.
his only complaint and just wait for it, it will come out in a burst is about Dak...this was a disguised post about Dak. Detroit won the game. Dak threw a 96 yard TD because the DL should have sacked him, but he didn't and it was because NFL had rigged the game, so that Dak doesn't get sacked, throws a 90+ yard TD and that's impossible to happen, because it never happens in the NFL, well it shouldn't happen to the cowboys because I hate Dak.

come on, you have to know this old man's mindset. alcohol has had a huge effect on him. he buys into conspiracy theories like I poop every day.

Only if they get rid of Dak.
so it comes out. your post wasn't about cowboys. I called it out in my first response and you came out, because you just can't hold yourself back. this was a Dak thread in disguise.

so are you a man? do you have balls? are you done with the cowboys? are you going to quit posting? or are you a pink tutu wearing fairy that just spews nonsense in a drunken state.

you know earth is flat. right? ;)

Longtime fans like myself are losing interest, and even those in football who were once associated with the great Cowboys teams of the past are slowly disappearing.
Fans who were old enough to enjoy the success of the early nineties are also getting older.
But the fanbase of children who have never known how good this Cowboys franchise once was is Jerry's legacy. And it will not be as strong as the fans that made this "America's Team".
Most of us older fans are fed up. We KNOW how bad it has gotten because we witnessed the teams that made this franchise great.
Jerry's circus hype is not selling anymore. His arrogance in kicking the fans in the teeth as he insisted on shoving incompetence in players and coaches down the throats of the very fans that made this franchise the most loved franchise in sports is finally catching up with him.
That $260 million abomination of a contract he slipped to his latest pet player and that he tried to pass off with the hoopla from last years opening day is the poison pill that finished off most long-time fans.
I don't think these Cowboys will enjoy the fan support this season that they have in the past.
The charade is almost over.
thank you Lee. I know you are a long time fan. Your pain is evident in this writing. Hang in there my friend.

Totally agree. For the past thirty years Jethro and whatever controlable dog poop coach he hired promised a great team in the making. For thirty years we won the SB in July and then played like dog meat in December. No amount of Jethro evangelizing is going to be accepted because we all now know better.
Sign, Micah, get out of the way and let the coach coach. If he doesn’t win, find another, but keep your big nose out of the running of the team. Hire a GM. A real football person. Not some bloviated, oft times drunk, carnival barker like you. Oh, tell junior to find a real job. He is worse than you are.
A drunk calling someone else a drunk. You are a funny guy…

Dak threw a 96 yard TD because the DL should have sacked him....
It was a 42 yard pass that CeeDee caught at mid field. The defender fell down and CeeDee was able to take it to the house. But hey, let's give Dak ALL the credit for the play.

It seems that you need a safe space and or a hobby.

What world do you live in? Certainly not the real one. Not the one that has TV ratings through the roof.

Or ….
Some find ways when a successful play happens, so it was something else or some other reason, and not Dak. Like he had nothing to do with it.

Like a friend of mine always said, it was a broken play.
Any long TD was a broken play. Someone did not do their job right.
