It's huge that the Patriots have been tested this way for two consecutive weeks

From the efficient studios of Air Cowboys America, in Farmers Branch where we like to barbecue, the 50,000-watt bulldozer of truth, justice and the Armenian way.
Next up, Cooking with Arlene and Bayou Gardening in FB.

:star: :star: :star: :star: :star:

Now, men, suddenly the Patriots have looked like mere mortals.
The perfect team coached by the genius coach with all the right pieces purring like the engine of a German speedster.

What I would like to know from you miscreants, parolees, heroes, anarchists and good men is:

Are the Patriots tired?
Are they believing their press clippings?
Are teams playing up to them suddenly?
Is Brady beginning to hit a wall of expectation?

Hard to say
But it is telling that an elite team like the Patriots has been pushed around by so-so teams suddenly.

If the Cowboys defense can keep improving, bending a lot sometimes like a sieve, but not break. If the 'Boys can learn to love their secondary, as it, and give Roy more chances and Canty and Spears awaken from their draft hype reverie, it might be able to pull it off.

The Cowboys offense is ready
The defense is a work in progress but it could take the Patriots Ratt Now!

New England looks human. And vulnerable.

Wish the Super Bowl was today!!!

I want the Pats to have a perfect season, with everybody gunnin for them. It will take it's toll, and if they make it to the superbowl against us, they will have the additional wear and tear, not to mention motivation for our guys to not be on the losing end of perfection.

I love how you had this pre-typed.

No I dont, I'm being facetious.

Here's a non-sequitur back to you: Do you apply all that eye makeup every day?
;)
But you must have a point of view to be here, otherwise you are like a ... troll?

I think the Pats can be had!!!

I keep hearing how the Patriots "rolled" us the last time we met. Mike and Mike said, "the Cowboys could only stay with them for a half".

Irritates me how they didn't watch the game.

We had the lead late into the third Q.

We were driving for the tying score in the fourth when the refs began to work their magic. You could call Kosier for a hold there, but if you call that, why not call it everytime Ware was tackled?

Anyway, we were starting Newman, who was starting his second game and was still a bit hobbled. Reeves was still finding his way, and we were without Henry. We've also changed the way we're playing teams.

I think we can score with the Pats. Their defense is overrated. I see no problem with us driving it on them all night.

Of course, we can't overlook the conference......but I really hope we make it to the SB to play the Pats.

Like I've said months ago, the perfect ending would be for us 2 teams to meet in the SB, and America team knock them out in front of MILLIONS.

This team is going down, they peaked way too early.

Dang, Doomy, just you saying that makes me think it can happen.
So, maybe they've peaked and are tired.

The NFL season is too long. The greatest of teams will be pushed to the brink at some point. Anyone, no matter how dominant, will look vulnerable at times.

That said, I don't know if they drop a game in the regular season or not.

...hard on their team. Players are already experiencing the bumps and bruises of the season, not to mention one where everyone is making you their SuperBowl.

I find it funny how some posters are so willing to denigrate the Patriots achievements while our own slim margin of victory over the Bills is lauded in the annals of Cowboy lore.

If the Patriots go undefeated you have to give them credit for the conditions they did it under. The odds are really against them and it only gets worse when they head into the playoffs and meet quality teams.

It's fun to cheer against them like the boys and I did tonight, but I won't delude myself and not recognize what a good season they are having.

Guys look at their press confrences. Their victories have the feel of losses. This is beginning to mount. They're still the best team and deserve their props but there are chinks in the armor.

Its not like its a stretch to say they peaked early. No one isnt saying they arent a very good football team, but its hard to play at an extremely high level for 16 weeks.

There defense is pretty old, its not really that far fetched that they are wearing down a bit, is it?

Human beings all have a blue print. What we do with it? You break on thru to the other side or you don't.

I totally agree with your assertion, about breaking thru the blueprint.

No just being me. I think people need to look at the positive stuff and stop being so negative. We all have flaws, duh. Patriots are great because they know their strengths and keep to them. Cowboys are just starting to do that now. To take that next step, you have to look at the bigger picture. Beyond the physical or just the mental. Look at the world in 3d and go beyond that.

The Pats have older players on defense. As the season wears on, the age starts to show.

Belichick is a great defensive coordinator, which is why the Pats tend to adjust. But they're helped by their offense and because they've played quarterbacks like Feeley and Boller.

I think this is very encouraging to teams like the Colts, Steelers, Chargers and Jags - teams that have a good running game or a good/great quarterback (or at least better than Feeley and Boller) and a solid defense capable of putting pressure on the Pats.

If Feeley or Boller can make just one play, the Pats are looking at two losses.

And if Dallas gets to the Super Bowl to play the Pats, I'm no longer scared of the Pats. Romo will make the plays that Feeley and Boller couldn't. And I expect Wade Phillips' defensive design to be just as crafty as Jim Johnson's and Rex Ryan's.
