It's just too darn bad ***Skins-Seattle Post-game thread***

While I was getting pretty tired of the Sean Taylor thing as well, the one that got me was hearing all week long and then all during the game how Todd Collins hasn't started a game for 10 years and how great he is now and that he is Joe Montana incarnate.

I swear if I would have heard that for one more week I would have thrown up.

If he was so great, why didn't he start for 10 years.

Anything to make more drama I guess but please. Had we not played such a vanilla defense against them, do you honestly think he would have won that game?

You have to admit the guy had a fantastic run with a team that had struggled on offense all year....they didn't just give him the offensive player for the month of December out of kindness. He doesn't have a strong arm, but I think his ability to read defenses and put the ball where it needs to be before the receiver breaks really showed Washington and their fans just how weak Campbell has been.

Frankly, I'd rather see Campbell starting for them next year than see Collins.

The ST stuff is getting classless. :(

Yep but NOT as classless as Skinz trolls on another teams message board ;)

According to Skins' fans, Sean Taylor has been helping them, with all the 21 references, etc. Guess he still is. They just got beat by, you got it, 21!!!!!!!!!!:laugh2:

Nice to know that I'm not the only one to think that that is funny.

I told my wife that and we both got a chuckle out of it.

Don't get me wrong, ST going at such a young age is very, very sad.

But personally, I was sick of hearing that he was helping the skins in some way.

Then their 21 pt victory was supposed to be some kind of sign, ... so now that they lost by 21, are we to think that ST turned his back on them sometime during the 4th qtr.

The whole thing was weird, I'm glad it's over.

I didn't mean you were being classless, in that post.

I don't think anyone was making jokes about ST.

What people were making fun of were the skins fans last week who tried to claim that their 21 point win over us was some kind of divine message from Taylor. If they wouldn't have made that ridiculous claim, then I don't think anyone here would have brought it up.

:D Maybe they had the wrong spiritual 21 on the field. It was Deon, continuing his Commander performance. :D

Sure he had a nice run. 4 games. Yippie!

He looked average at best today and he hasn't been starting for over a decade.

They make him sound like he is the second coming of Johnny Unitas when he is barely the second coming of Quincey Carter!

I know what you mean , I was reading all the references to the #21 over on their site. There was quite a few actually , the win by 21 , and then there was another game that something happened with 21 secs left on the clock..and something else , I cant remember them all.
that being said , It doesnt bother me what they used as motivation..it's their team and their fans...What did it hurt? Really?. He was their team member.
I think its kinda Ironic that the lost by 21 points. I'm not sorry they lost they talked enough smack for a lifetime! I hated to see them lose by 21 tho...20 or 22 even..but 21???? wow! That was a double let down for them.

It could make some young impressionable fan that doesn't know any better actually believe that something like that could actually occur.
