I have always thought Tyron Smith was their guy, possibly in a trade down. he may be making trade down unlikely.

We'll know in a couple of days. But you know he has to be amped up to prove he is worth a high first.

I've heard rumblings. I mentioned to SDogo a while back that we were really vigilant in scouting Smith. He is the most scouted player by Dallas this year. I believe we had at least one scout at every single game he played. No other player that I know of.

I know that the team loves Peterson. Not speculation at all. They were thrilled he was playing in the Cotton Bowl where they could see him up close.

If he is there, I think they have to take him. if he is not, I have always thought Tyron Smith was their guy, possibly in a trade down. he may be making trade down unlikely.

Now let's not forget here, this is a lot of weight gain. Is it due to work or food? If he is sluggish at all at the workouts or is even heavier on his Pro Day and doesn't do what they hope, he'll plummet.

This is the smart point of view.

I just get tired of all the talk about fixing things that ain't broke. All the talk about a guy like Peterson leads to an evaluation of all the CB's in this draft, but the point of Peterson is that he would move to safety.

All the talk about OT is about who can play left tackle, when we need A right tackle.

All the talk about NG because Rat will move to DE, yet Ryan has already said Rat is staying put.

Our RT is so bad that this stubborn line of thinking is what will have us 6-10 again next year..RT is our biggest hole outside of maybe safety..there is no safety worth even considering outside of Peterson..Smith is our guy if available. Does it make you feel that much better if Smith is an all pro LT and free moves to RT? As opposed to smith being an all pro RT? Doesn't matter to me

He's mine too, I'm all for trading back a couple of spots, if we can find a partner, getting a extra 3rd and taking Carimi.

He had ridiculously low body fat % for an offensive linemen. He had the frame to gain plenty of room to gain weight. The question is if it's good weight (muscle) or bad weight (blubber).

Also, time to throw out this antiquated an idea that you just need a left tackle who can pass block. You need two bookend tackles who can protect the perimeter. Teams are moving to the 3-4 specifically so they can line their best pass rusher up all over the field and exploit weaknesses on the OL.
