It's really time for both Dak sides to stop and move on

That's the thing....if only we could sincerely engage instead poke and instigate.
There was a recent post where the op replied immediately to his own starter with "this will really get their nerves".

We just don't need crap like that.
Let's try our best to unite and be civil even in disagreement.

I won't hold my breath.

(Yes...it's true....I have been... ...disagreeable? :) ...but never to intentionally antagonize)
I'm glad you said we! Lol...I'm right there with you. But, you're right, good football talk is much better.

There is a track record for many things, in the game, life, work.....doesn't mean you lay down and just take it...that's a track record that needs to be changed. Every day is different...if a fan, player, coach etc, doesn't have any hope, may as well hang them up.
Go Cowboys!
I get it. You can only control yourself. Not what happens but how you react to it.

The players and team have the most control in what happens.

The problem is the dak lovers unfairly label the middles....they only note the criticism never the praise.
100%, and they will further their hate to anybody who potentially threatens Dak. The excuses for Rodgers, Burrow and Caleb the last couple of days are quite comical. Ar cannot be touched by anybody in the Media, as if he controls their every thought. I have been critical of Dak the last few years, but the one thing he has been able to do is not to let his critics affect him. If things go South in NY, the Jets will be a must-watch team if you enjoy soap operas...not only that but when Vikings players feel sorry for Danny Dimes this will only add to the buzz

Chuck that is a brilliant idea we all know at this point exactly what we have in DAk.

And now it's not Patrick mahomes who can make do with nothing but thank goodness it's not DeShaun Watson either.

We fall somewhere in the middle like most teams and when we have a coaching staff that can prepare a team for a playoff game and a front office that recognizes what is needed to win playoff games with quarterbacks that are not named mahomes we will get further.
But until we can run the ball and stop the run in the playoffs when everybody's good we will continue to fail whether Dak makes a million or 60.
It's already been proven and no quarterback will succeed here until those parameters are met no matter what their talent level or how much they're being paid.

The front office needs to participate in free agency when we get close and stop keeping us three players away expecting for The perfect Storm and every other team to choke so we can win a super bowl not going to happen the eagles imploded and gave us the chance of a lifetime last year and we still couldn't run the ball or stop the run

Wow. I thought I was the only one that had to experience the misery of being both a Cowboys and Reds fan. At least my Vols are rolling again.
Damn man, your first post on here lol! I live in the Toronto area and can avoid all the media criticism of my teams, but can still listen in on their critique of Toronto-based teams because they have the same issues currently

I've lurked for years, but I thought I had posted once or twice but I guess not. I like what I saw Sunday, but looking good out of the gate hasn't really been the issue. I'm indifferent on Dak. I don't like the contract, but at the same time I don't like the idea of moving on without another qb and I don't believe Trey is the answer. I think Jerry cares and wants to win, but lacks the GM skills to do so. He's proven that IMO. As for the Reds, I don't think their ownership cares about winning at all.

It's really time for both sides to stop and move on. Dak's deal is done, like it or not. Stop poking each other with sticks in every thread, for God's sake.
I think the way they structured Dak's cap hits was stupid. He's an 89M dollar cap hit next year and 32% of the cap. That's historically bad. They should have put most of the cap hit on this year since we're not getting any more players. But no. They lowered this year's cap hit for absolutely no reason.

I understand, but the deal is done. I'm not happy about it either, but nothing I say or do will change things. Since I get perturbed when they ram Dak down our throats, I've decided not to behave in the same way. I hope everyone everyone will agree to disagree with the FO's decision and just move on.

I've dropped it for now, because it's a moot point for the next few years.

Be prepared, though, as another great regular season followed up with a one and done playoff job is only going to bring this debate roaring back.
Be prepared for some playoff wins

At one time there was no misery and I was lucky enough to live through it the Cowboys and the reds were at the top of their games in the mid-70s when doomsday and the Big Red machine ruled sports

Bench Rose Perez Morgan Griffey Foster Geronimo concepción

Staubach Hayes Dorset Pearson Jordan howley Adderley Lily Wright ditka

Tom Landry sparky Anderson

No misery to be found there Hall of Fame All-Stars the best of sports ever

It's real simple it's very easy to find a lot of quarterbacks that are worse than DAk in this talent diluted League we have now.

But it's very difficult to find one that can raise the whole team in spite of itself and even mahomes has the benefit of absolute incredible coaching.

However bad anybody thinks Dak is in the playoffs McCarthy compounds the problem tenfold and is unable to prepare a team for the playoffs anymore used to bees don't count it's what you can do today

We continue to take baby steps in the coaching area and it's a big
reason why we don't succeed
The long story short is when Jerry really decides to go all in from coaching staff to defensive line to running game special teams and leave no stone unturned Dak will win a super bowl till then we got what we got a coaching staff and a couple players short every year

Yep, no sense in arguing about the QB now, its a done deal. We can only hope that the D is as dominant all year as they looked in the opener and the running game improves over the course of the year. If those 2 things happen, we will have a chance come Playoff time. Other than that, zero chance if we are relying on the QB to elevate his game and carry the team.

They don't have sticks. They have feathers.

Trance is done.

If he had any type of future he would be QB2.

QB3's don't get developed.

Maybe he will be on the side continuing to work on his throwing motion and footwork. :lmao:

There is a reason. So they have an excuse for not being active in free agency.

You people are ridiculous.

It’s never going to stop with the Dak haters. We’re going to continue to hear the same bellyaching for the next four years of this contract unless we win a Super Bowl. Even then someone will continue to complain about him because they have an agenda.
