WR Treashon Holden Hype

My man Foots. My favorite creator lately. I quit watching so much Cowboys media and mainly stick to watching players. But his content is legit. Double Move does decent work too.

Good to see I'm not the only one stuck on Holden. By far, my favorite free agent signing. I think his $3,000 signing bonus or whatever was to motivate him. I think Romo got a couple Gs more than that.

To be honest, I think he makes the team. He just fits too well. Also blocks like a champ.
I agree. Really enjoy Foots. These are good detailed breakdowns that are easy to watch.

I do have a smidgen of hope for Holden now. His skillset is very Dak friendly and I like the competitiveness. ,Whether he makes the team, we'll see, but there is space at 5WR on this team--Lamb. Pickens, Tolbert, Turpin are guarantees.

I like Holden and I am surprised he wasn't drafted. The more video I watch of him the more I think he was overlooked in the draft. But we do not know what his interviews were like so maybe it is something about his personality.

At the same time, I see him as another Flournoy type receiver, only Flournoy ran a 4.44 at the combine. But Flournoy, at 6'1", 202 lbs. seems to run good routes to get himself open and showed he can do it against a couple of starting CBs in pre-season last year. I think Flournoy, Mingo, and Holden are all fighting for the same spot on the roster. Mingo clearly has the upper hand only because of the investment. Flournoy and Holden will have to do something really special to win a spot on this roster.

Holdens only chance of making the team this year is if we keep 6 and he is a special teams ace

i have high hopes for Flournoy,he has the athleticism and with some experience be a real contributor.

I'm thinking that 4 players are locks.
Lamb
Pickens
Mingo
Turpin
4 others playing for 1 or 2 spots.
Tolbert
Flournoy
Cropper
Brooks
We now have excellent depth.
Cropper is a perennial PS player. Show good in TC and PS games, not going to make the top 6.
I put Campbell ahead of him.
Tolbert and Brooks are about the same player. Or seems like it to me. Tolbert has the edge. But do not forget Flournoy either in that mix.

They will keep 6. Lamb, Pickens, Turpin. Most likely Mingo, need to see him in TC and PS games compared to Tolbert, Flournoy, Brooks, Campbell.

I'm not sure. He's in the final year of his rookie deal, and he still hasn't shown enough to be more than the third wide receiver. Why waste another year or his final year here when a couple of other players with perhaps a higher ceiling can get his snaps? In other words, we know what he's bringing to the table. That's just my take, but I definitely think he's on the bubble.
He isn't on the bubble. He has produced when targeted and he is on a rookie deal. Week one he will be on the 53 unless he gets traded.

Meh.
Can I bump this in 13 weeks without getting benched if I give you a 13 week advance notice that I’m gonna do it? Yall are so wrapped up in JAGS that is laughable.
The so called JAGS are solid 4s and 5s.

That's right. Holden is a Dak friendly player. Has size, adequate speed and really separates like an NFL receiver should.

On the Cowboys hes a lock because we have idiots in the FO who want to appear smart

On a real NFL team Mingo is not a lock and Vaughn never got drafted
Let's see what happens. Mingo is a good fit in this offense. He gets single coverage and is a good blocker. Tolbert is not a good blocker. I see Mingo making the team. The unit will be solid.

I feel that Tolbert and Mingo are pretty much equals as locks. Yes, we did spend a fourth this year on Mingo, but Tolbert did cost us a third and produced more than Mingo (and every other backup we have) after we added Mingo. So I feel like everyone else is essentially fighting for one spot.

It would be very hard for him to make the team. He could go on the practice squad.
I seriously dont see how anyone can think it would be hard for the other wrs outside of lamb and Pickens to make the team, Especially since nobody is talking about Turpin being a serious No3 or the fact that Tolbert and Mingo are not world beaters themselves.

Lamb, Pickens and Turpin are the best we have at wr imo. Turpin at the 3 spot is 1on1 and a score every Sunday. Tolbert and mingo do not have that. Tolbert and Mingo could easily be beaten out for those last two spots and it shouldn't be as hard if any of the other Wrs have at least an once of potential.

I will never understand the fascination with Tolbert much less mingo.

I think that Mingo is a better fit. He is a beast.
If Mingo turns out to play well. Which I think he will.
Pickens and Mingo can be a dual threat in the end zone, they been lacking since Dez.
They went from zero threat to a possible dual threat.
