the qb play sucks big time but its not the only thing holding this team back coaching is also right there it really don't matter if this team makes the playoffs they are not winning a game they will come out flat and unprepared and be one and done

What film do you watch? I'm sure it's the same as all of us - the camera trained on the QB then tracking the ball when it's thrown. Only occasionally do we get a look at the whole field on replay. By the way, the last 2 weeks the TE's have 160 yards and an 82% completion %. Are we really supposed to believe they only learned how to run a pass route the last 2 games?
Tes aren't judged by just a few rinky dink completions that don't win games. They are judged on their Potency as a wr and their Scoring Abilities. It's funny how on 1st and 2nd down they look great with their inept checkdown passes but in the red zone every te playing in yesterday's game has been shut out w big zeros in the Scoring Stat column ALL YEAR. Lol. When the drive or game is on the line where are those plays? Where are the plays in the end zone? THERE IS NO POTENCY AT THE TE POSITION. YOU CANT MARCH DOWN THE FIELD ON EVERY PLAY WITH A RECEIVER W NO POTENCY. NAME ME ONE TEAM THAT HAS A TE PLAYING EVERY SNAP THAT CANT SCORE THAT HAS A PLAYOFF WINNING RECORD IN THE LAST 15 YEARS BECAUSE ITS NOT THE DALLAS COWBOYS.

This coaching staff is delusional to think this te core is more worthy than substitution for better rbs and slor wrs more frequently. You're arguing there is no involvement in the offense. They don't come off the field. They are put in a lot of Scoring situations and they NEVER DO. THEY ARE Batting 0 but playing every passing SNAP like a Superstar.

So I guess if they don't score a TD for 5 more years but they catch a few gimme completions you're ok with that?

That's the same mentality that kept the washed up 82 around for 4-5 years past his prime. Either a te has big play potential or scoring abilities or he's just a substitution for somebody that does. Somebody has to contribute to the Scoring abilities and It's not any of these tes for our team

When you go 16 games without a TD playing every passing snap as a skilled player and drawing little to no coverage and you still can't score then you
A) have a coach that is ignorant
B) have a player that is not potent

It's as simple as that. The road to nowhere leads to the fact that we have a te led OFFENSE that cannot put up the minimum benchmark to be successful as a passing offense because they don't score or make any plays that matter when it matters .You can skew the stats but we all saw Daks interception. When Dak fumbles half the time the te was right there to jump on it but failed to make the recovery. About like the off side kick. Lol .

When Kelce or Gronk puts up zeros all year we'll see how long they last before getting cut

These tes are ALLERGIC TO SUCCESS AND SO IS OUR PASSING OFFENSE AS LONG AS THEY ARE MANNING THE SHIP.

How great did Jarwin look on the interception? The ball was a tad over thrown but 95% of the NFL tes would have at least avoided an interception except our guy.

Please fire this Coaching staff and OC for our consistent inept at the te position but won't substitute for better rbs and slot wrs. Just leave the most impotent players on the roster in a skilled position to keep better players on the bench

That is hypothetical and of course in your hypothetical Romo wins is all but that is not reality.

Much like your user name Frozen "Let it go"

This is one game in which you can't blame one thing on the loss. The defense was atrocious for this particular game (today. the worst unit on the field!)Special teams below average and offense struggled but probably was not the worst unit out there against the Colts.

Having Tavon or zeke in the slot would certainly worry me alot more than any of our inept tes. Lol. These tes are gonna blow our chances.

We could have gotten Graham twice, Gates, Thomas, and several other proven tes with some red zone skills but noooo

We marched out there with the worst talent at te and the defense shut down all the players around them because of it is more like it.

All you gotta do is bait Dak into beating you every week with these scorelesss tes every game. Lol. That's the easiest way to winning without Scoring. The more they get targeted the more turnovers we'll have. There is nothing but a liability at receiver when any of these tes are Manning the ship on passing downs

There is a 4 man te core with1 TD all year long with a bunch of overinvolvement on passing plays and why they never make any significant plays as a receiver they are still Manning the ship down in and down out as if they are putting up winning stats and Scoring. Lol. How can there be so much involvement with the te on passing downs when not one of these guys can score. Lol. Who is gonna make up for the benchmark of Scoring they aren't Producing every week. If your te can't score chances are he's not gonna draw much coverage either.. Give us more dual slot wrs and rbs until we get a te who can beat the BLITZ or Score for once in our lifetime and save this te scheme for when the game is comfortably in hand

Did Anybody play any of these tes in your fantasy league this week/year or did you take a real te with some winning or scoring abilities?

That right there in black n white goes to show how impotent the te position is thought of when it comes to our team.

Where are our tes ranked versus our slot wrs and rbs. Also Another season with a subpar fullback instead of a true running back passing tandem. I guarantee Bo Scarbrough would have made that catch and scored more TDS than all of our tes and fbs combined. lol

Carrot top and Linehan has worn out their welcome with all their designated blocking schemes from the tes and fbs. They all should be cut. In the end we'll get eliminated quick if we even make it lol because our offense is impotent and our te core will NOT BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE AGAIN THIS YEAR EVEN THOUGH THE STAT COLUMN SAYS THEY ARE THE WORST IN THE LEAGUE AGAIN THIS YEAR.

How many more years does our te core have to be featured when it's Dead last in potency year in and year out?

And it still can't BEAT THE BLITZ under Garrett

In the meantime can we see alot less of the ones we have on passing downs? IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR? Especially in the red zone where we rank last in the LEAGUE!

sure, I just sent an email to Scott and asked him to reduce the number of TEs in the redzone....he did mentioned yesterday Jarwin was open in the back of the endzone, but Dak missed him, so that was one opportunity missed. so expect less TEs in the redzone...

That's all coulda woulda shouldas. How many TDS does Jarwin, Swaim, Gathers and schults have on the other 500 snaps. Why single out just the one snap?

Jarwin has created 4-5 more turnovers than tds scored and he's never hardly open when it matters so it's not uncommon for a receiver who didn't do squat in the other 13 games to get overlooked on one play. Just saying. He can't even beat their worst guy how would he stack up if they put their best defender on him lol

160 yards in 2 games on nothing but checkdown passes? Is that really what you are claiming?

Thanks for the CAPS - it really makes your words seem more believable. And, by the way, I never said it was a great set of TE's, as you seem to be suggesting now in an effort to fabricate an argument - I merely said they can effectively run routes and catch passes if the team will choose to utilize them. They have proven that much. Your exaggerated and fabricated arguments don't work on that.

They can catch passes because the defense allows Dak to try to beat them w the mistake prone tes. If they are needing to shut them down in the end zone that's obviously been no problem at all to accomplish though however right? Said the WORST defender on the other team.

The defense is giving up the short passes to the tes because the likelihood of them Scoring is very improbable. The defense is focussed on stopping them in the red zone however where they are batting 1000 against these scrubs. If the tes we're breaking tackles or catching TDS they wouldn't be baiting us like they did w 82 for the last 4-5 years. They won't make any plays that matter I guarantee you that. I bet our tes don't score another TD all year. Amari has six times more TDS than our entire te core of 4 players and he hasn't even played all year. Plus he's drawing the best defenders. Lol

What are all these "mistakes" the TEs are making? You are just throwing darts at the wall and hoping something sticks.

As for short passes, in the last 2 games our TEs have had completions of 22, 18, 16, 16 and 12 yards to go with the short passes. This characterization of everything going for just a few yards is a false narrative. Also, the TE's have accounted for 9 1st downs in those games, so they are clearly helping to move the chains and keep drives alive.

Again, these TEs are not stars, but this nonsense that they are making mistakes, incapable of getting open and are only getting very short gains is false commentary. And you completely disregard any possibility that the TEs haven't been as included in game plans as they could, or that with an O-Line that routinely features 3 back up players, and sometimes 4, that they are being called on to help block more than usual. That can't happen, right? Because it doesn't fit the narrative.

Try an open/fair minded view sometime instead of tailoring a version of reality (as opposed to true reality) to fit your desired narrative.

If we had 2 all pro slot wrs or 2 all pro rbs we'd still play the everydown te scheme everydown and it's irritating because they can't win at the playoff level

Out of all those targets and passing snaps and yards how many scores have they contributed? How many more snaps and passes will Dak have to throw them before they actually score another TD. At some point you'll figure out the snap to target to scoring %. That's what's subpar. Btw the interception was on a pass to Blake Jarwin. Sure it was irrelevant because the game was already out of hand because it was 23 to 0 but there is a reason we had zero points and as good as these tes played that's all the points they have all year

Zero is the Majic formula to this nonsense. If Kelce starts putting up zeros you'll see his snaps dwindle also

With this Defense, Rb, and Wr threat to make teams pay for focusing on Elliot. We are built to win it all.

But the QB position still scares me. Defenses focus on Elliot, which in return allows guys like Cooper, Gallup and Beasley to roam free, and we all see it. But what happens more than half the time?

Dak misses them for big plays. So instead of jumping out to a huge lead, we let teams hang around, scoring FGs with a shaky kicker.

Our D puts the clamps down on other teams, but when our O, mainly Dak gets to dicking around for most of the game, they are bound to break a little. Then like the *******s many of us are, we get mad at the D.

It would be disappointing to have this team and not win it all because of Dak and his inability to consistently burn teams.

With Romo we'd def win. Even Stafford or Carr would get the job done. I don't believe in Daks ability to throw

Its not the QB. Its the coach. If you wanna get rid of the problem, get rid of the coach. Look at all the teams that fired their coaches - Rams, Chicago, the Colts, etc. They are finally winning. Same QB different coach. Proof that its the coaching system thats holding us back, not the QB.
