It's Sam Bowie over Michael Jordan again. Idiot Texans.

I agree, thus Vince Young will have a very hard time playing QB in the NFL, at least for the first few years.

He has less accuracy than both McNabb and Culpepper did, and even Vick had comprable accuracy. He has to work on his mechanics.

I'll disagree on this one. His mechanics aren't that bad or he would not have lead the nation in passing effeciency. He is without a doubt a better talent than McChunky or Culpantless were coming out of college.

He led the nation is passing efficiency because something like 64% of his passes were to the TE and RBs

Texas ran an offense that allowed him to be successful using his athletic ability, not his passing ability. He threw about 2 passes of 25 yards or more per game this season, not very many

Vick's highest Completion % i believe was around 56% which is nowhere close to Young's 65 % completion percentage this past year. So I hope that will stop the Young and Vick comparisons

Negative

He only completed 49% of his passes to WRs last season
Huh I could have sworn that passes could also be thrown to TE's, RB's, and FB's. Thank for clearing that up for me

Again, Young played in an offense that centered around short passes to the TEs and RBs, designed QB runs, and option runs.

Vick played in a more aggresive offense in hwich he threw downfield more often than Vince Young, thus the lower completion percentage

In college, you would have a point.

In the NFL, if you cant complete down the field passes to WRs, you wont last long. Ask Joey Harrington

Somewhere in Houston or Fresno....David Carr is Mother F'ing his luck, first he gets drafted by Houston, then he has help either on the line or in the backfield to take pressure off him and they are gunna take a D Lineman.

David Carr is hatin life right about now if this is not a smokescreen.

Yeah thats why Vince led QB's in yards per completion, he obviously only threw short passes:rolleyes:

No, that's what happens when you throw a lot of screen passes and dump offs to All-Everything RBs like Taylor and Charles who take them 40 yards

No Bush, no Young? The Cowboys just gained thousands of new fans from Houston.

Oh, this is much more stupid then selecting Bowie over Mr. Jordan. Why? Because, most folks at the time believed Bowie was the best pick. But, much more then half of the NFL experts believe Bush is the best player in years at his position.........this is plum dumb!

If this was Dallas Cowboys..........I would think about suicide!

i'd keep arguing but you know what to be honest Both of us don't know what type of career these guys are gonna have as a Pro. Heck for all we know, Bush, Vince, and Leinart could all end up being total busts. Thats what makes draft weekend so fun, because everyone has their own opinion about certain players but really no one knows until they step into the field and show what they can do

I think we can both agree that Vince Young is a real Special talent that could end up in him being the Michael Jordan of the NFL but there is also some risk in picking him as he is a much different player than we have ever seen

He is a special talent, but he wont be the greatest NFL player ever. Not even close.
