Dez is one of the few players on this team that I wouldn't get rid of. Maybe I'd do it if it was for a Herschel Walker type trade but you're not going to get that anymore. Austin is done. We need to keep that position intact.

I'm his third season, Dez was already a top 5 WR, and yet you think Wakins, Benjamin, and Evans will be "as good?"" You have no idea heat you're talking about.

If we're going to trade Dez, then we might as well just trade everyone on this roster, it's not going to happen.

I'm sure it was dealt with. What about Andre Johnson? Did he catch the hell like Dez?
Anytime Dez has done something wrong, he hasn't repeated the action.
People make mistakes and learn from it or don't. Dez seems to learn from his mistakes and he doesn't
repeat them.
If you want to argue that we need to trade him because he's going to be too expensive and we need to manage the salary cap, I would disagree, but it would make more sense.

If he could catch he would be really good. He drops too many crucial passes to command the $.

Book this. All of you will be wearing the " I want to to be like Mike 88" jersey when he craps on you and walks for big money next year. Dez is the kind of player that when you are winning, he is the best. When you are losing, he is a team cancer. If it were me, I would try to sell now, while the value is high.

In his first season, Julio Jones was a top 5. Watkins and Benjamin, yeah, they could do the same.

I was pretty hard on Bryant after watching his immature act during the season, culminating in the game where he left his teammates behind. The talent is needed in the league. He makes some huge plays in the redzone. Jerry will not trade Dez, simple as that. He will help the team if he grows up in a hurry. Still, I would make the trade if the Cowboys could land large with the picks. The OP says a mid 1st and mid 2nd I will presume. YES, I pull the trigger but for nothing less than that. The injured players and questionable players like Dez are what make Cowboys especially weak week to week....but maybe Jerry likes the attention this brings them.

He can't walk. We'll just franchise him. Thank God you are just you.

So, you are suggesting that we trade a proven player at a premium, necessary position just to use what we get in return to chase players MIGHT be as good? Benjamin and Watkins have a much better chance of busting than ending up as good as Dez. You, like many fans, are severely overrating draft prospects.

Seriously...Stop.

When you have to start a thread with HEAR ME OUT...you know it is silly or a troll.

Just quit trolling.

You have to start with that because people on this board don't listen to reason or reality. They are sort of like the owner of this franchise. Deranged.

You don't understand the word Stop.

Im saying you trade this premium player in particular. Don't misunderstand me. Dez is awesome. He does things on the field that are incredible.

BUT

The whole package, Attitude, money, pass catching ability, route running ability, health...... It would make sense to trade him.

That is pretty insulting to the membership here.

Are you going to stick with that story?

I can't agree with the idea of trading Dez Bryant. It goes against the "draft you own, develop you own" philosophy this team needs to stick with to improve.

What the front-office needs to do, however, is to bring brass balls to the negotiations and keep his contract under $12m a year or so. I (A) Don't believe Dez is worth $15 a year and (B) Don't think the Cowboys should spend that much on the #1WR position.

What would be the cost to franchise him? Is it more than $12 mil ?
