I've Never Been Afraid To Predict Good Things For The Cowboys

So your W-L prediction is?

I don't have one yet. I am talking about the Defense having the bodies needed to do a better job. I usually do not predict a w/l record until after I see some PS action and get a feel for what I see.

It will definitely be hard to be any worse than we were last year along the DL. But as a whole, there's still ample question marks at virtually every position on the defense.

There is not one player in the front 7 from the above list that an opposing offensive co ordinator has to game plan for. Until that changes your are only hoping this defense is better.

you don't want a defense where the opposing team gameplans for a single player--who is that for Seattle? who was that for the 93 ' Boys? This defense is deep with many interchangeable parts and has a chance of being good.

There's no substitute for talent. Last year we survived on energy and hustle. Barely.

I like the youth movement if we're going to play like that. We have gone from guys off the streets to guys who made rosters or who are expected to. I don't know why that can't be acknowledged. I think it's just as crazy to predict 13-3 as it is to predict 3-13. We'd have to lose Romo to be 3-13. I don't see that happening.

If you're asking if I want a disruptive player or not then the answer is, "yes".

I'm all about the youth movement, I've been calling for it for years. This defense is essentially the same defense we fielded last season. Sure, we added Melton, Lawrence, and since he didn't play at all last season, I'll throw Spencer into the conversation, but all three come with their share of question marks. As of right now, there's really no reason to expect this to be anything better than an 8-8 team, until proven otherwise.

Also, pretty sure offensive coordinators keep an eye on Sherman and just about every other starter in the secondary.

I've been calling for interior OL. I won't complain if we add another G or RT next year either. In fact, I can tell you right now, that I will want one or the other early.

If it were up to me, we'd draft OL/DL in the first round every single year, no matter how good or bad we are.

guess it depends on how you define survive. Defensively I would argue we did not.

Charles Hailey and until proven otherwise this defense is deep with hopes, dreams and question marks.

I guarantee you it won't be less than 10 wins and a playoff appearance. The M.O. is 11-5 or 12-4.
I have a great idea, everyone can just ask this guy what I think. He obviously thinks he knows. Even if he may be correct for this year, this was just smug for the sake of being smug.

Again, I might add.

Now, seriously...why would you make a guarantee like that when you obvious have zero control over what you just guaranteed?

And why would you pretend to take him seriously?

Honestly, people. You get so wrapped up in the poster you're debating with, you don't bother to just discuss the topic anymore. What's the point of that?

That might be the first positive post I think I've seen you make. That's what I expect for the year as well!

That's not his actual opinion..

Optimism seems to be creeping in the closer we get to the start of the season.

But My expectations are tempered because of all the past failures. I don't think Dallas did enough to correct the problems; I also don't think Dallas will sweep the skins and giants again.

I expect more of the same. (8-8)
