Jaguars sign Jourdan Lewis - 3yr $30 million

You can keep saying that, but it still won't make it true..

if you lose those players it makes you worse, it's the same as this exact post, so if we decide to keep Jlew, it would've been status quo , but instead you count that as a loss and somehow it's a negative, but if he just stayed it wouldn't have been a positive? LMAO
Whats wrong with that logic? In order to improve you need to find better players. Signing the same guys is status quo. Losing good players is a negative. This is why it takes more than just resigning your own guys to win championships in this league. Losing Lewis still could end up being a good thing, but it would require the Cowboys to go find a better slot corner this offsesaon.

Had hoped to keep Jourdan Lewis. But, at $10MM AAV, I understand.

Like him as a player and wish him luck in Jacksonville.

We made an honest offer.
First of all there's no we don't quit your day job it's not funny it's no longer even entertaining the whole we like our guys is the only other response right no one will ever be happy in here but give me a break like you were there and you know do you know I mean were you there in the conversations he literally make the highest paid offer he got from the Jags ,he's the top paid inside corner now, and good riddance.. I mean I wish him the best. but he's no longer a cowboy. it's time to move on you guys will never ever ever be satisfied, so bye,

and i mean literally, bye to your posts.

Good deal for Jourdan, and he gets his biggest contract on probably his last contract in his prime. Happy for Dude, and we knew when he wasn't re-signed the last couple of days he had a nice offer on the table.

For the Cowboys, lol, good luck with Capboy at the helm. I only trust Bland. They have work to do.

10 might be an overpay but 8 probably keeps him here before FA...our FO at work...
I like how you guys make the assumptions on the negative like you know what we offer him or if we made an offer at all how do you know we didn't offer him 8 how do you know you guys act like you're supposed to be like kept in the loop somehow like this team front office owes you something they don't you don't know what went on back there but they got a lot of other guys to pay and guys to bring in this happens to all teams they lose players they have to find players to fill in holes I mean have you seen the list of free agents that they all come from the Cowboys I mean are we the only team that lost the player to free agency trade and this is only just begun but those lists are humongous right now full of free agents they didn't all come from the Dallas Cowboys... Apparently we like our guys is a problem and when we don't like our guys it's also a problem so there's no way for the front office to win around here how about you give it more than two hours Jesus Louise free agency literally just started and we lost a player and everyone's already got the pitchforks and the torches all out lined up and it says, JUST UGHHH!!

Don't worry, they'll spin that Diggs could come back by September and that Carson now has a year under his belt and he's ready to play

I love Jordan Lewis despite last year being his best year ever after sometimes being the whipping boy of the secondary, but “the highest paid nickel corner in the league”? No thanks. He’s not that good.

The Eagles drafted Mitchell and DeJean knowing they would cut Slay and Bradberry. And they just won the Super Bowl. Cutting some guys and paying the price down the road is a small price to pay for being Champions.

The Cowboys keep being financially responsible for a "next year" that never arrives. The Eagles can pay the price and point to a Super Bowl. The Cowboys don't pay a price and point to nothing the past three decades.
And the Cowboys drafted diggs, paid him, got bland(have to pay him) , drafted Carson ,and brought over Butler... yes missed on KJ .. Let's just stop the drama on as if they're ignoring the position, and not looking down the road.

as a matter of fact Butler looks like a keeper, but we're talking about an inside guy is much easier to fill somebody might already be on this roster they can do that and I only named a few but we have DBS on this roster some of them played pretty decently filling in but they all got hurt and when I say all I'm pretty sure just about the whole entire corner department got hurt last year or came in late because they were hurt the year before.

so sometimes you go through this and don't tell me the eagles four years ago weren't going through the same thing they couldn't feel their back end for anything...

We'll see how they fill in but just give it a break the Cowboys have not completely ignored the position..

you don't have to spin anything that's why it's a competition we lost just about every corner we had injury over the last two seasons and I mean all the ones we brought in for death but don't leave out Butler we're talking about filling in the nickel slot corner which is a lot easier to do than the outside.. But that doesn't mean they're done we're literally 2 hours into free agency and this place is already started

you guys can't just sit and wait you have to complain about every move it's either we keep our guys as a negative or we let our guys go it's a negative...

so, it's one big giant mother lovin negative!!!!!!

Butler is a very good option but he's trying to come back from a torn ACL. Could begin the season on PUP.

I love that contract for Lewis, but I hate it for his new team.

-Lewis will be 30 in Week 1. CB is normally not a position that ages well - those guys can't afford to lose a step.

-Lewis isn't a premier athlete to begin with, and doesn't have a step to lose. Stud NFL athletes usually age better than average NFL athletes.

-Lewis is one of those guys who looks better the less exposure he gets. His payday probably means that the Jaguars are going to put him in a feature role, and he's historically been picked on when Dallas put him in those spots.

Again, great deal for Lewis and good on him to get a big payday to end his career, but I don't think Jacksonville will be happy with this signing
He definitely has 3 years of quality play remaining.
