It is a little scary, zooming out. I don't know if he'll be a great head coach or a piss poor one in the end. One of those things where he's going to a town where they already adore him, and not because he actually achieved anything significant there, but Byron's just one of those people who you can't help but love. Still, if he's unsuccessful, you hate to see that admiration dim.
I'll say this much for certain. He has the right temperance to be a head coach. You want a lot of things in a head coach. Some things you can't really judge until the guy gets his first gig. Other things... like "is this someone his players will run through the proverbial wall to win for?"... you can. He's always had that command of respect, going back to when he was at Marshall...
