Jake Ferguson said he texted Dak after Sunday night’s game: “I’m with you til the wheels fall off.”

Maybe because he knows the one guy is taking all the heat in the locker room for pathetic performances by the entire team. Unlike fans, the players don't judge each other by their salaries. They know who can play and who works hard at it. It's fair for Dak to take the brunt of the blame because he played poorly the last 1.5 quarters and because that's the QBs job, but maybe Ferguson knows it's a team game and they all crapped the bed against SF. Only fans look at Dak when the team stinks it up and thinks he should lift the entire team to victory because of his salary. I know what Dak is and what he isn't; I only get frustrated with him when the team plays well enough to win but he doesn't, and there have been some playoff games like that. Against Arizona and SF this season, when the team plays that poorly, I don't expect Dak to be superman. Mahomes is the only superman at QB in the NFL in my opinion, and even he stinks it up sometimes, like against Denver.
They absolutely do judge each other by their contracts especially when it's time to negotiate for a new deal.

That's embarrassing for Dak, especially if he's supposed to be this great QB that his fans make him out to be. Bad games happen to everyone but can you imagine a second year player feeling the need to do that to a Mahomes, Brady, or Rodgers? Everyone knows those great QBs will be back and dominate. It's self-explanatory for those guys but I guess Dak needs all the support he can get :(

Seems to me Jake is reminding him to not forget about his TE safety net. He was pretty good vs the pats and efficient vs SF but only 3 catches on few targets (can't remember if he has 4 or 5 targets).
Ferg should have been, that at least resembles what a west coast offense is supposed to be about.
Our entire RB depth should be incorporated into short/intermediate snap counts during every game going forward.
It's like Dak is fighting what MM is demanding or vice versa... what a total cluster #### taking place either way.
CD would not be getting so upset for attention if Dak was setting this offense up with short WCO, scheme is simple just suck the safeties up with hands underneath offensively and then bang you on the perimeter with speed and hands like we have with CD and Cooks.
Dak and MM both need to start understanding the value out of hands from the backfield, and neither apparently are understanding the WCO true scheme for some strange reason.

That is not a good action by Ferg.. nor a good quote that he felt the need to say it publicly. Shows me that the locker room is 100% starting to fall apart. Guys are always going to back their QB.. until he ain't the QB anymore but when they feel the need to try and 'defend' through loyalty.. never a good thing. For example.. how many times did Gronk have to come out and mention that he had texted Brady support?? How many times do we have to listen to Kelce talk about how he has got Mahomes back?

And why do we talk about Dak in the same sentence as guys like Brady, Mahomes, Rodgers, Allan et al? Because he is taking 20% of the cap. That MUST be a consideration when assessing his play. Dak is not being paid as a cog.. he is being paid as a star and should be performing like it.

I think 3 interceptions in a ROW puts a spotlight on you.. but I also think the fact that his first pass which should have been an easy 6 yard completion goes high and wide.. the pass out of bounds to a wide open Cooks.. missing CeeDee on a simple crossing route.. all of it looked ugly. Very very ugly.

I am hoping the locker room is dividing.. it might be the only thing that saves us from JJ making another mistake and re-signing/extending Dak. I don't want to waste the careers of Martin, Smith, CeeDee, Parsons etc etc.

Why would Ferguson send this kind of a message to Dak? I can only surmise that something was said in the locker room after the game or on the flight back.
I think it's likely that, while Dak shuts out outside noise, Ferguson strayed from this and has been peaking at youtube / social media and seeing everyone piling on Dak. So, he sent the text as reinforcement because he was feeling sorry for Dak and wanted him to know he's on his side. I think they say they are shutting out the outside noise but they peek...even if it is just friends of theirs sending them stuff in texts referring to what's dominating the cowboys outside news-noise.

They didn't change the whole offense. Maybe that's part of the issue or it's just that mikes old schemes suck. I think Mike doesn't know how to use the TE much which is why they drafted a guy with better blocking prowess than ferg but lesser receiving talent. And your right they haven't utilized the running backs out the backfield but I don't think it's on Dak. 2 yard passes to a RB standing still is not what anyone had in mind so they need to come up with something better. They wanted to get rid of option routes but what they replaced them with simply sucks.
