You think he should get less then the franchise tag.:huh: You one of those fans that think Dak should have have been happy getting Wentz’s contract. The price of football players is going up and up. Get used to it. Wait until CeeDee and Diggs next season.

What he values him at and what the market commands don't have to he the same thing.

No that was last years price everyone of those guys are around 10 mil. It's really not a good look to assume. I could easily say your one of those fans who wants us to pay top dollar for our players then complain when the cap is low and no money to go around. To many Offensive guys are getting paid and taking up the Cap.
The Cowboys are only paying Dak crazy money and he is not getting top 5 quarterback money anymore. The cap is going up and up. Nobody is playing for cheap anymore.

Smith never made top 3 money. He is still playing on top that 10 year contract that keeps getting restructured.Martin has the best contact because he actually earned it. Zeke is paid for running back but they can get out of the contract with minimal damage in the offseason. The Cowboys have one of the best cap situations.

I will say this. I would not pay any tight end big money. The Cowboys were foolish paying Jarwin that big contract. The problem is the Cowboys don’t develop tight ends. They become too reliant on Witten.

In most cases, it's not about that. If there were no salary cap, nobody here would care what anyone was being paid, because it wouldn't affect the team's ability to sign more good players.

Not our fault the Browns are stupid. Those TE around the 8 to 10 mil mark is where he is at in my opinion
It's not just the Browns. Both Hunter Henry and Jonnu Smith negotiated contracts a year ago that average $12.5 million/year. Goedert's contract is also a year old and averages $14.25 million/year. There are TE's that produce less than 1/2 of what Schultz did averaging $6-8 million/year.

If you don't want the team to spend the money on him, that's fine. It's not cheap and every team has to make tough decisions. But our personal opinions about what guys should be paid isn't the same as market value.

Nah most just want Dalton to realize he is not Jason Witten,, Kittle or Kelce
Schultz is what you call product of a perfect system...let him go to the Ravens and see what kind of numbers he puts up he'll be benched for his run blocking...guy had the position handed to him and did what any sane athlete would do, took advantage of his opportunity but unfortunately the player he is, is not worth 55M+

The Cowboys are not signing free agents. The Joneses now are draft and sign your own players game. They have plenty of money under the cap. They claim it’s for CeeDee, Diggs and Parsons. We will see:angry:

So you think Dalton should take less then the Cleveland tight end?:huh:. If the Cowboys don’t want to pay him, they should have let him walk. See how much he gets on the open market.

Exactly, just another stupid move by this FO. But what else is new?

I didn't say that, I said when they got those deals it was because they were top 3 or 5 un their positions.

Oh no I agree, but if you want to spend top Te money just do what you did with Cooper and go get a Top TE then

Of course he isnt because he doesnt have the QB.
Ot even close on that. Neither does Kittle and Kelce just started having one. Oj Howard to me is better than Dalton and he has Brady so that's not that much of a factor a factor. Rodgers is better than Dak and his Te is average too

Man I've been saying this and getting bashed. Bashed by some of the same people who complain about our Cap situations and that we Overpay players and get fleeced all the time lol. All I've been saying is he's an Average TE who shouldn't get TOP TE money. I'm sure he'll get close to ot because this league is dictated by that unfortunately
